Somewhat, I believe you can stealth kill without triggering full hostility of every nearby living organism but be aware that NPC's tend to be linked or grouped however so if you piss off someone (This includes killing them.) his or her friends (Even if they're in far away Fuckovertheresomewhere.) might not be too happy about you when you run into them.

Similarly the crime scene trigger from picking up important items of value (Helpfully marked with a red hand icon. Smile ) can cause guards from Fuckovertheresomewhere to come running and start a investigation even if you're really, really thorough ensuring no nearby NPC's are in the vicinity or there's no clear line of sight or other blockers and the player character doing the deed is in full stealth. (Skillpoint investment apparently reduces the affected crime scene area and such a bit though.)

I tried stealth backstabbing someone just now, but still the whole room joined the battle. Sad
I mean, is there no skill or talent that lets you do that? Though i guess it would make the game too easy.

And while mentioned picking up owned items: Is it possible or is there a mod that you can't pick those items up by accident with a simple leftclick?
Had it happen to me several times already, that i was clicking around to move, and then picked up something while others saw it. Laughing Embarassed

This sounds totally lame. :-\

Oblivion with its X-ray-eyed guards springs to mind.

Yeah it's a bit weird, you can try it almost right at the start of the game too while on the ship by picking up some owned items and it shouldn't take long until one of the NPC's comes running and wants to play strip-search, throwing the item on the ground tends to help and then they'll leave and you can pick it back up.

It's still stolen though so if some other guards want to use lay-on-hands on the character after some other item just happens to disappear you have to drop it all or either enjoy some jail time or pay to bribe the clearly biased guards.
(I mean yeah it's always the new group of adventurers taking the valuables but they could at least try to act like someone else could have done it. Razz )

And yeah happened a lot in Divinity OS1 where you wanted to click on something and the character picked it up and suddenly the entire town population is after you with greatswords and elemental magic.

EDIT: Daggerfall was worse though, even just trying to sleep outside when in a town caused a patrol of guards to charge right at you with their Halt!Halt!Halt! fervent chanting.
(Clad in the finest daedric quality arms and armor no less when at a higher character level.)
 Spoiler:

EDIT: There's probably some way around it (Without spending every skill point on stealth and such.) though but be careful picking up owned objects, shopkeepers apparently hate it when you lay your hands on their chests. Razz
(Or any other item though D:OS1 mainly had the good stuff in containers although some things were on display and a few decorative items had a bit of value too.)

That sucks - it's amazing stuff like that still slips through after so many people beta testing this game. I also absolutely don't like the psychic guards knowing you were stealing. It's totally bullshit - even if they suspect you, they'd hardly know automatically. They should have introduced a kind of timer where the guards would become alerted when you returned to the "scene of the crime" and would THEN frisk you. I mean, how many people instantly notice something is missing?

Did they hotfix the camera (re)setting itself to the furthermost zoomed out position after ending a dialogue?

@JB: I did try stealing that certain *neckpiece* on the ship, and got caught. Persuasion didn't work, got my ass kicked. Restarted, and killed the very first guard in the first room as revenge. Very Happy

Still, it should be possible to break an open world game ; it's half the fun of it. When you can't steal or murder properly, that kind of runis it.

@lolo:
Bob and I both, although he's gotten used to it now iirc. I still don't like it.

And the camera was zoomed IN more is DOS 1. I know because I played the game like 2 days ago. Regardless, both games would benefit a LOT from more zoom out.

Question on full game. Seen mentioned you can customize all 4 party members but this was not possible in the beta unless you ran 4 instances and joined your own local game. Can anyone confirm if you can create a full party right off the bat without doing anything extra?

What I noticed you can do, at least as far as I've seen when I met Red Price after shipwreck, is to change his starting class through the dialogue. He can either keep his default Fighter class (warrior + geo + shield), or pick pretty much any other. This also changes his starting equipment.

That's what happens when you only allow people to beta test the first act. And we all know how "thorough" in-house / outsourced testing is. Very Happy

it depends on your potato.

It's more demanding but not that much

I can run it at 15+ fps (the first island, open areas, the city and wilderness) on my intel HD 4000 at very low 1280x800p Laughing

The first divinity was like ~25 fps or something.

Sporting a fancy dedicated GT555M, so I'm rolling with 1366x768 Laughing Works surprisingly well at medium with SMAA (by that I mean 20-25 fps, so good enough).

As for the game, I'm loving the dialogues and narration, it's amazing leading 4 characters with unique personalities. Couldn't force myself to skip any dialogue so far Very Happy

Encountering some minor bugs though, hopefully they won't escalate.

Also, the game is hard Smile Tried and wiped 6 times on the first fight in the game before I decided I don't fancy starting a new game every time I make a mistake and took it down a notch Razz

Has anyone tried a suicide bombers party (high CON+comeback kid+ unstable+morning person)? Very Happy
It's just a theory atm but I reckon it could be fun

1) 3 suicide bombers with high CON
2) your main is an aero+hydro healer(resurrect)+ aero damage

-bombers deal normal damage =>
- they suicide dealing devastating damage =>
- comeback kid gets activated =>
- they are healed =>
- they deal normal damage =>
- suicide bombers start dying and exploding again=>
- your healer resurrects them =>

rinse and repeat.

That is if these two(kid+unstable) talents work together Wink

1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB

2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

I'm not that far myself but a friend of mine has all his save games corrupted and crashes on loading them, seems to be widespread since posts about this issue are popping up everywhere now.

Going by some discussions on the Steam forums it looks like a potential memory leak but it greatly affects the save files as well causing them to expand in file size and eventually become unusable.

No way to reliably reproduce the issue yet it seems in order to find out the underlying cause of why this is happening but Larian seems to be looking into it and there's a number of suggestions.
(Some users seem to believe it's down to something to do with stealing and distracting multiple NPC characters.)

Having a good amount of auto saves seem to be the main method for dealing with it but then it's down to how far back you'd have to revert to before the bug started and how long you can go before it becomes critical and the save is no longer usable.
(Looks like RAM usage greatly increases as this happens though so that'd be one way to check on it.)

Regarding the crashes i tried two things now, and so far no crash since then:
- Set .exe to be always run as admin
- Let Steam check the file integrity (though nothing seemed faulty or missing)

The game actually supports single-player co-op of a sorts. Very Happy
(Probably not entirely intended but hey, it works.)

Or what to call it, 4 player party by basically creating a co-op session locally on your own system via 4 separate instances of the game, save said game and then you can just load it up again and play with your 4-man squad in single player.

With lowering you meant restarting the game or?
As i was not able during game to change from Tactician down to Classic, only vice versa.
