I enjoyed the first one but never got into the 2nd one as it was awful on PS3. I'm actually pretty happy about this.

I'd like to stay positive and applaud them for this, but after Raven's Cry, and its post-release drama with beyond bizarre developments, I'm not sure anymore
Guess we can only wait and see. I ended up enjoying TW2 as well, despite the jankiness, abysmal UI, and hilarious leveling system xD. I mean it's not that we have many alternatives these days with the poor Piranhas chasing ghosts (Elex, please, be at least decent..ish..it's your last chance!)

Going by comments the patch hasn't really done anything much to the game, it says 2.0 on the main menu but the visuals are about the same and it's still using DX10 plus the marketing banner is still there and there's a menu now for micro transactions.
Curiously they also locked the "TwoWorldsCheats" console command for debug cvars although you can still tweak the visuals of the game but can no longer add items and the like, people are questioning if said micro transaction feature might be the reason.

EDIT: The registration is a bit simpler though but it still uses a cd-key for activating the game.

Skillpoints, various upgrade gems and so on from how I understood it, taken from the console version and as of this patch now added to the PC platform.
