Either Xenus 2: White Gold [ENG][Game Factory Interative] 2010 TRiViUM or Precursors 2: White Gold [ENG][Game Factory Interative] 2010 TRiViUM depending on which game you want, unsure about the actual release name unfortunately.

Russian versions also works just fine with http://www.patches-scrolls.de/white_gold_war_in_paradise.php#tp12 and/or http://www.patches-scrolls.de/precursors.php#tp12 for the restored translations the developers originally did.

Unfortunately as subtitles don't show in cutscenes the transcripts for those where put in the readme file in those projects but on the plus side you'll have full sound and the patches will work correctly though Trivium did bundle them with their release and that should work as well though some mention that sound cuts out now and then but I haven't found much info about it.

yes, got them both and looks like it works fine from other forums, also if there are sound probs , some said to disable hardware audio acceleration and problem with the sound solved.

gonna install it today probably Smile

The correct rls names are Precursors-TRiViUM and Xenus.2.White.Gold-TRiViUM

The sounds are seriously fcked up. Sometimes I have gunshot sounds, sometimes I don't. No sound for NPCs, when talking to them, except for the intro. Does anybody else have these problems?

One of the main reasons, besides the patches being available, to why I switched back to the Russian version with the latest translation modification.

Voices where removed aside from for cutscenes in the English localization as a side effect it seems many other sounds also bug out or glitch, I thought it was pretty minor at first but from what I've read it's a really problematic issue and likely a side effect of such a rough treatment for handling the sound files.

The English version on the other side runs smoother, than the Russian one.

Horrible light flickering for ATI cards, there seems to be a fix for it but it looks like it removes all preprocessing to the point that the game looks pretty bad

The fix lowers the amount of bloom exposure via modified postprocess options in a few text files regarding environmental configurations, it doesn't remove it altogether from what I've noticed while comparing them though the overall extra light exposure is lowered somewhat.
(HDR is still active.)

The (missing) sounds are really annoying.
If that gets fixed, then the game will get so much more enjoyable. If.

I hate you.

"GFI announces 2011th copy of Xenus II White Gold sold

Moscow, Russia, December, 2010 – Game Factory Interactive (GFI), one of the leading Russian publishers and developers, is glad to announce that according to the Christmas weekend report 2011th copy of Xenus II White Gold has been digitally sold."

I hope they're happy enough for some continued support for it then..

lol, that's kinda sad and funny at the same time. Smile
It's weird that they are celebrating 2011 copies sold. Maybe they thought it wouldn't sell even 100 copies since it's marketing is non existant and mostly relies on mouth to mouth...

I do hope it sells more and we'll get proper support for it. Would be lovely to see a new xenus game too(I would prefer precursors sequel though),but I doubt that's gonna happen... :/

You mean 'in the just a few hours'. Quite pathetic, frankly. A single game being recycled over and over into a different name and people still buy it. Sad

And still no patch or fix or anything (As per Trivium's NFO description of it.) so not a single copy will work until cracked, unfortunately as it'll affect future sales quite a bit.

I've read this in RPGWatch forums:

Quote:
Anyone with the audio issue, download Silent Hill patch v11 and extract into your Xenus 2 folder.

Just got trough the first part of the story, main storyline path is rather linear but the side missions and what you can choose to do is very open, getting some better equipment as well but it's starting to get a bit worn and it's difficult to find maintenance kits for them.

Lost a lot of money as well due to trying to be more diplomatic and bribing and purchasing my way trough some faction specific missions, in turn though I'm at favorable levels with nearly every faction minus the bandits whom are close to being hostile though it's starting to improve.

A few screens as well, nothing specific, just weird characters and a bordello I stumbled upon.

Wonder how this is going to work, probably still dependent on the unofficial patch I assume since the original developer is no longer around?
(Precursors can't be far off either then I guess for a Steam release.)

EDIT: Yeah 15$ might be a tad high if the game is in the same state it was earlier, going to be interesting to see what the Steam reviews and community feedback in general will be on the game.
(It's not bad it's just a "bit" buggy and broken so make sure to do the usual thing by saving often and in multiple save slots.)

EDIT: Probably also would look a bit better if they stated the original release date and not the date it appeared on Steam, it is a fairly old game now.
