Forgot to add - I experienced crashes with legit version. So I really suspect NV drivers. But they work OK with the rest of games, so I was too lazy to change them.

Im using the mad-max-ali213 version with the v3 crack. Sometimes i can play 5 hours straight. But sometimes only 10 min and it chrashes. Does this have to do with the crack? Or should i try an other iso?

Guys, I honestly think this game is worth a buy. I'm 21 hours in, liking the game a lot. Especially the atmosphere, that is spot on. Story is basic, but that is not, what this is about.
Make sure to play this with the best sound eqipment you have, that engine is so tasty.

yep I'm surprised how good this game is. This is a high quality game and I have no idea where did those gamespot assholes take that 6/10 out of - out of their ass probably.

Mad Max is a missed opportunity: a decent game which lacks diverse content. The devs created a giant and gorgeous world but didn't do much with it. This game is could be a GREAT rpg if they filled the world with proper npcs, quests and whatnot. That said, I'm still enjoying it as there is decent variation in the camps you have to take over and the driving is great, you have to love the sound of the car's engine. Oddly enough I like Max's sidekick much more than Max himself since he has more personality, not to mention that Max treats him like shit, even though he'd be dead in the desert without his skills.

TBH, I feel this way for most multiplat games these days, especially open world ones. While still fun, there's always the lingering regret that they didn't go the extra mile and turn it into an engaging game as well with some rpg/survival features, a bit more challenge, etc.
Seems devs these days are rarely dedicated to creating a scalable gaming experience so that a 12 year old console kid and a seasoned PC gamer can both have the best experience, and they just rather go for a universal singe features/difficulty approach, which leads to watered down games, that while fun, just don't reach the same heights I'm used to from top shelf titles.

Considering this was from Avalanche, I'd say MM was a huge step up from Just Snooze 1 and 2.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Do I need to clear all the minefields, snipers, towers, camps etc in Pink Eye's region to get the final V8 upgrade?

Uhm... yes, you do. That one requires Pink Eye's territory to be at 0 threat.

There isn't even such thing as upgrading the car fully. You're supposed to customize it to your liking, even when you have everything for it, since most things affect how it drives, including the armor and ram. Max you're kind of supposed to fully upgrade I suppose, but once I got everything for him I went back to what I liked the look of the most, so just went full Fashion Max on him, heh. I'll post a screenshot when I get into the game next time.

it's not needed at all, don't ruin the game for yourself by clearing those boring mines, it's the only weak part of the game.

I had ways to make them more fun:
Try to find them with the magnus opus: aka blow your car up unexpectedly and another one: lure a horde into the minefield and let them step on one!
But yeah, the original design is fricking boring and tedious xD
