I don't have a problem with heat. On work we have air conditions, at home I have one too, really don't see the fuss.
I don't get people complaining that it's hot in Summer. When the fuck should it be hot? In winter? What are we, freaking Australia? |
AC is not a replacement for real air. It helps, but I don't want it 24/7. basically, I only turn it off at night these days and that's not very good. My body knows it's artificial.
Hot summer in a city is crap for me. I don't need or want temps above 28 C. anything above that is just not comfortable.
That last heat wave 2 weeks or so ago, and these days, it's practically impossible to be outside from 10am to 7 pm any longer than 30 mins.
+ I have an alaskan malamute. she suffers the most, and I can't spend quality time with the dog at all during the summer.
I guess i'm just a winter person. I need to get away from this hellish ass backwards country again |
Look, I'm not all for oven temperatures outside, but I'll rather have sunny days than rain or snow.
I hate when I get wet from rain, and snow just makes public transport collapse here in Zagreb. I mean, that's because we're fucked up little country, but still.
I love spring, because it's just the right temperature, and I love summer because I can ride my bike everywhere

Those are thunder downbursts, they've gotten pretty frequent over those years so I heard.

Imagine (actual work) manual labour ! |
How I hated working those days when it was 30+, you'd almost fake sickness to get away from it.

Haha xD, they survived but there are basically no grapes left, they're just sitting there naked
Today another smaller one hit the area (no damage thankfully), only electricity went out. In total yesterday there have been ~15k lightings in 6 hours, the apocalypse is near and we're all fucking then

Poland has power/energy usage problems and we're in an emergency state for companies to use as little energy as possible. This means no light (except the really necessary ones) and more importantly - on AC since 10 am. I got here before 7 am, turn on the AC to minimum to cool the office, but half an hour past 10 - it was already 27 degrees inside. Now it's closing to 31 and we have two conference rooms with AC with people rotating.

31 at my desk in the office, when I was leaving. First time ever, that it's cooler at my place than at work.

@sanchin To be honest it wouldn't hurt if companies even stopped lighting their hectare big complexes at night in the middle of nowhere all around the world.
More should do that and stop wasting energy.
