It's going to be his cheapest yet. Considerably cheaper in fact. Just $5M budget. His previous lowest, leaving aside his two pre-6th Sense films that most people have never heard about, was $40M (for 6th Sense).
With such a tight budget maybe he'll stay focused.

no grandparents are dead after 930 the house becomes a living breathing feeding thing and the only safe people are in that one particular bedroom. the kids find out when they open the bedroom door after hearing shrieks and howls only to find bodies being mangled in front of them. their grandparents standing above them hacking them to pieces while a monstrous hole opens in the floor moaning in hunger. they throw the body parts inside.
also after 930 the house turns into a hunted house in a different city (a satanic wormhole) each night a different house and each night new victims for the house. it's the only way the grandparents can stay alive to see their grandkids. the kids end up helping their grandparents but find out that they too are dead as their week long stay was really long and the first couple that died in the house was them.

Let me guess.. The camera pans in the end and reveals everything we saw was a "found footage" type of film that was filming and all of them are just actors.
M. Night makes a cameo as the director who says cut, it's a wrap.

naaa it will be vampires, the kids hear screaming etc. which is the grandparents protecting them from the vampires.
the kids try to escape their grandparents who they think are serial killers and get done in by the vampires.
The night is dark and the road is long. Come on dead men, return to your homes.

Saw it at the cinema earlier. It was not what I expected having not even seen the trailers previously. It was pretty original and surprisingly entertaining. The twist was great but the end was disappointing and it had so much more potential I think.

This is the first movie ever that I see it has a good quality copy available but no one has created subtitles for it. Weird.
I just checked, it has made $60M on a $5M budget, that's very good. It is the most profitable (BO/budget) movie he has made since The Sixth Sense. Career saved
