Have a look at how a Hebrew Windows looks like:
No, this is not photoshop. It's mirrored. |

No, that's how it is. Not sure about Arabic, which is also RTL.

while for programs i prefer english most of the time. Mainly because it's easier to search for help with functions or whatever omg

And standardising on which English? Proper English or English for dummies?
I'm all for the metric system though. Let's have some logic instead of limbs and other arbitrary "measurements".
And this of course:

My OS is and has always been in badabepupian, because my father sometimes also uses the home PC to do the most basic Word stuff/check the emails, and he's already struggling a lot, using English would give him the coup de grâce xD
The games, movies, phone, everything else is in English of course. But it hasn't been a smooth transition, on the contrary!
I didn't have an English course until high school, and even then, our ghetto professor (who couldn't care less about teaching, and we were happy about that) did the rest. It took me ages to finally acquire these poor-ish/acceptable-ish skills, but there's still a long way to go. *it's something*
Because for example, as soon as someone talks very fast or with some thick accent, I desperately need subtitles (to be fair though, this happens with the italian accents as well).

german here. think its the only translation where much effort is put in. but wouldnt have any problem with english os. and even no problem with any french or chinese stuff (had two laptops here just a few days ago). using windows so long i can find any option without reading, only thing what really sucks are different keyboard types (those fucking french idiots for example)
