Just installed this game a couple of hours ago and after going outside of the tower it crashes after about 5-10 minutes. Performance is great, not suttering or lag etc.. I've ran around and did a couple of the objectives, fought some zeds, etc.. but always crash after 5-10 minutes. My settings are at 1920x1080 with everything on and maxed except motion blur disabled, shadows at medium, view distance at default 50%. I've tried dropping view dist. to 0%, tried running in window mode, tried .09 and .25 drivers, etc.. It's showing that it's using a little over 4g of my sys ram and cpu usage is about 46-48% spread out fairly even amongst the 4 cores. The crash screen says:
DyingLightGame.exe - Application Error
The instruction at 0xf301c3e3 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be written.
Click OK to terminate the program
Could anyone shed some light on what might be causing this or what i could try. Using the rld version with crackfix, hopefully they'll release the new update soon.

I thought I'd not like this game because of dead island, but it's actually a really solid game. It's nothing new but it's just fun to play. I usually hat parkour bullshit but they pulled it off really good with this game.

On a side note , why do people make their games public and when you join one of these game they kick you out? There is "friends only" game mode. Ironically, it was mostly Russians who had it set up this way and who kicked me They prolly thought I was a "Western Imperialist" or something.
@madness
Was it a cutscene?

@Paeter
I have no idea try to move from rld save location to ALI213 emu save location, but use your RLD save username in ali213.ini.
Or just wait RELOADED.

Seems some modding does still work. CA and Film grain removal are working for me, yet default_levels.xml is not.

@JBeckman
so..let me get this straight.. instead of fixing performance they resolved to... cheating?

Can anyone tell me what the outfits are for. Do they give any bonuses or are they just cosmetic?

I think they just cosmetic, enjoy seeing your new arms and legs in first person.
(Well it probably has a better purpose in co-op making you look more experienced or how to say.) |
Ohh, in that case I'll stop switching them around.
Thanks for the quick answer.

Changing texture to high and restarting the game fixed it. But sadly it doesn't work very well on my 2GB VRAM graphics card, so I guess I'll have to live with medium textures.

Yesterday at the Techland's office:
Quote: |
- Oh, man, these gamers are just..!They complain about everything! They put the viewing distance slider to 100%, get shitty performance on 4770k, nvidia 980 and 16 Gb and then badmouth our game. What should we do? How do we fix this?
- Let's ninja nerf it! We'll make a new 100% that would be equivalent to the old 50% in regard to the level of details! This way players will be able to set it to 100% and they will be in awe of how good performance is!
- Damn, dawg! That's really slick!
