is it possible? i have my own wi fi which is 9 mbit, i have other neighbour wi fi which is 11 mbit, but on another ISP, i connected to both wi fi using 2 wi fi adapters and did make bridge connection, but there is no internet speed boost, and i want to download dead rising 3 which is 36 gb in 20Mbit connection Smile

It is possible, but you need a firewall that can do multi homing and load balancing, such as pfsense

I have such a setup, but I'm using my own internet connections, why would you steal your neighbors wi fi

maybe he asked for permission? Razz

because if we run it, we both can use 20Mbit downloads, i installed connectify which is dispatching traffic, and now pc is using both connections for dl/ul, but now both wi fi are downloading at half speed 4-5 Mbit's, i click round robin in settings to max out both connections but it's no go, half speed from both wi fi's, will try that pfsense thank you

EDIT: Maybe it has something to do with channels on wi fi routers?
EDIT 2: Did it, i changed both routers to channel 1 and now it's downloading at 16Mbit, but speed is dropping to 4 Mbit's, damn, will try to play more with that channels.

and what about duplicate IP range, connectify gives me error that both wi fi networks using same IP range, and that speed can drop down, and it's dropping down, i't not constant 16Mbit.

Getting them to "multiplex" is tough and perhaps not even possible on your gear.

It would simply be easier to create two separate networks (with two IP's) and split the download in half, one on Net #1 and the other half on Net #2.

Of course, if your neighbour use the internet for downloading at the same time your speed will drop to half of that or less (if you share both connections).

Connectify Dispatch is an application that lets you send a torrent to one thread (one WiFi-interface) and another to the second WiFi-interface. There's afaik no way to "team" two separate WiFi-networks to work as one.

Quote:
Connectify Dispatch only works for downloads with individual threads e.g. Torrents. For a single download e.g. via HTTP or FTP the maximum achieved speed will be the maximum of the line currently used.

See statement on their website :
“…monolithic streams like Netflix can’t be split across connections, Dispatch will assign them to the fastest connection – and route other requests to secondary connections.”

Actual teaming (combining e.g 2Mbit + 8 Mbit into a 10Mbit connection) requires support and setup on both, the local end-point (usually modem) and the remote end (provider) (muxing aka Multiplexing).

One example for such would be multi-wire DSL connection (e.g. 2×2 wires, each 4Mbit, combined speed 8Mbit)

The basics of muxing:

he is not using now internet, and i got it working, utorrent is now downloading at 14Mbit, peak was 16 Mbit, but my 9Mbit and his 11Mbit is 20Mbit's, i don't know why utorrent is dl'ing at 14Mbit's and not 18-19-20 Mbits.

using 2 routers with 2 wi fi adapters on one pc, now it's downloading 17Mbit. I guess it can't go higher, but 17Mbit is better then my 9 or his 11 Smile.

Is this similar to what you did?

http://www.wikihow.com/Bridge-an-Internet-Connection

I can only guess that the bridging service in Windows (if that's what you're using) is sending threads to the least-stressed wifi-channel.

And when it comes to WiFi you can't go by "11+9", you must take overhead into account. 17mbit/s seems perfectly good for that setup.

i did removed bridge connection and leave it that way, installed connectify dispatch, under settings clicked max out both connections (round robin), clicked start dispatch and it's working, peak 16.96 Mb/s, but second wi fi (neighbours) is dropping speed, every 15 seconds drop to 2Mb/s but it gain speed quickly.

Ah, I was initially surprised that you could bridge two WiFi-connections and get it working like that but Connectify Dispatch is the best software solution to get separate WiFi-networks working on one PC in tandem.

Don't do 1+1 it doesn't work in this case. You'll always lose speed with that kind of setup. Smile

Connectify Dispatch is an easy-to-use software load balancer that optimizes your Internet connections for better Internet connectivity. Got Wi-Fi and 4G? Two Wi-Fi adapters? DSL and 3G? Connectify Dispatch will work with any these technologies to intelligently improve throughput and reliability.

What's a software load balancer? It's an application that takes control of your Internet connections. Dispatch puts each of your downloads on the best Internet connection. It's easy to use, just connect to two networks, fire up Dispatch, and enjoy faster web browsing right away.

Speed up your web browsing. Download torrents faster
Connectify Dispatch is great for applications that download lots of files, such as BitTorrent and modern web browsers. Divide all your sockets between available Internet connections for faster speeds (if you're streaming video or want faster uploads, check out Speedify.

Take Control of your Internet
Connectify Dispatch puts you in control of your Internet! Dispatch meters connections so you can avoid costly overages by assigning bandwidth caps to your 3G and 4G cards. Per application settings give you control over which applications can use each Internet connection. Fast, smart, and frugal.
