If it's something like the sample above I can ask my guys at the studio to do it in AE. But you'll need to provide pics or perhaps make a rough sketch in c4d.
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube
So sad to read this thread.... That's just some simple image manipulation in a program...
THIS is what an intro/demo on PC is ALL about, Fairlights "5 faces" (#1 place Revision 2013):
...and with an interesting style and atmosphere... Masagin by Farbrausch:
Pure pieces of real-time computer art with everything coded by hand, drawn and designed by hand, all music routines and players programmed by the groups, composed by the groups.. True intros and pieces of art.
They'll obviously look a lot better and sound a lot better if you download the actual exe's from http://pouet.net.
It's an intro for a gaming channel. Those type of videos aren't even in the same league.
+1.
Its abit different to have an intro showing off your programming skills.
Showing off programming skills was all the rave on the 8-bit and 16-bit computers (c64 & amiga). On PC it turned more and more into proper art where programming skills weren't the focus, it was the product that mattered. These days they are teams with a producer, script manager (ie. keeping track of timing and scripting events), graphic artists, musicians etc.
On the Amiga it got ridiculous for a while.. First there came intros/demos with "192 bobs every 50ieth frame", then the next group came with "196 bobs", then the next came with "210 bobs" etc.. ultra boring.

Not saying anything against that - however, this is not what he want. He want one of those animations that runs while hes not broadcasting. (edit: and proberbly before the broadcast too!)
Belive it or not btw - but I was in the scene on both C64/amiga so I do know some things about it
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

So was I although I never managed to get that far into 6502-assembler (managed sprite scrolls and raster bars (a thousand nop's to time every line right) before I got my Amiga 500 in September 1987 and within a few months made my first intro/demo.
If you know photoshop ae is the easiest thing in the world.
It's all about layers and key frames. Super simple. The more intricate the intro the more time you'll need. Simple as shit like the one in the op is just camera manipulation in 3d space, simple text plugin, background and music. That's it. It doesn't even sync to the music, it doesn't do anything fancy. Off the web ae with stock plugins is all. Nothing expensive. There are some nice plugins... Soundkeys being one. Very nice if you know what you're doing. But doing some complex intro is like throwing away time for something people will watch once and fast forward if it's longer than 10 seconds. You need a 5 second tops. Name, sound bite, and straight to content. If you design something in ps save it as psd import to ae and you got your layers set. Manipulate. Add song. Done.
