no, just learn to build with xeBuild and once you do it will be smooth sailing from there. you won't have to rely on someone updating his builder app any more. i don't even know why these building apps exist. xeBuild needs you to put your stuff in appropriate folders and then 1 command line to build. if it's too hard for some people maybe they shouldn't mess with jtag/rgh Laughing

xebuild only builds , UI apps add new functions like prepacked in flash dashlauch, kinect update with avatar update with dev kit new funtions like no wathing for hdmi handshake from TV , custom fan speeds, custom boot screen , etc... all this in 3 easy to use custom packed files just restart your box and wait for 10 min and your done

you can do all that with xeBuild... these building apps just toggle various command line parameters of xeBuild, that's all their "magic". every single builder app has xeBuild underneath it, because without it there would be no jtag/rgh scene.

Yes, but there's really not much point in doing it i'm afraid.

They suffer from really slow boot time's (can be minute's!) so not really good for everyday use.

Any way to know what type of Japser you have (16mb, 256mb, 512 mb) using the backupnand? Or any other way?

I've made the update files for my Jasper using a 16mb type but I'm not 100% sure if that's my model and I can't get a hold of my modder.

What's the worst that can happen if I use a update file made for another type of Jasper?

I know you didn't say that but you gave a bit of wrong info.. boot time isn't the problem problem is it can not load any dashboard it will crash on glitched non hdmi consoles.

I see, well my modder PMd me last night with my Jasper type, but that's still good to know for future references. +
Though I'm using J-runner and that didn't seem to tell me anything about my Jasper type.

Updated every single thing on the 360 today. Got the latest FSD, Dashlaunch 3.04, Dashboard updated to 2.0.16197 and Avatar update went successfully as well. Very Happy

Just one small hiccup, how do you configure the Freestyle dashboard to launch on console startup?

Post DL update, I can't seem to go into it. I looked into the launch.ini file and even edit the part where it had hdd:\ to Hdd:\Freestyle\default.xex and even tried Hdd1:\Freestyle\default.xex but no joy. Help!

Try reinstaling Dashlunch with your custom prefs, the lates should have a setup thing, afaik. If not, go the old way, witch i believe is: daslunch's default.xex + your own custom setup launch.ini.

What's the latest dash that can be RGH'd. I've got a friend with a bad drive and no way to get the key so I told him that we should just hack it and then at least get the drive key so we can spoof another drive. Since he is cheap, he probably won't want to keep the rgh.

I'm beginning to think that his console (a BB Jasper 512) is on too new of a dashboard to be glitched...

Just tried to play GOW3 on my glitched 360, got a message of 'The game could not start, try downloading the game again' and then sent back to the dash. Has this happened to anybody else ?.

I believe that error message will show when your glitch console is on old dashboard..

I knew I wasn't crazy. I'd seen that news somewhere and had chosen to forget it since it didn't apply to me at the current moment. Now that it does, I wish that they would just release the hack...

Oh, and has anyone ever seen a refurbished 360 with extra resistors added to some of the points on the mobo? (I'd upload pics, but I'm at work and the 360 is at home)

And they aren't surface mount resistors, they are either composition type or film type...

I'll add pictures of these later.

No, I'm talking about doing that from the console, without taking the drive out.
