So, looking to buy a new TV
Should be 42"... For watching movies/sports, gaming Smile

LG 42LS570S and LG 42LM640S caught my eye (2nd one has 3D but I don't really care for it much) but can't find any reviews for them :/. I don't know much about TVs so not sure if they're good or if I should get a Plasma instead? Don't wanna spend more than 800€ btw. Any recommendations? Razz

I recently looked at the LG 42LW650W and it looked really good (compared to all the other tellies around it). I was close to buying it but decided I'd wait a little longer.

I've buyed the Samsung Smart TV 3D, 55 inches, for less than 1.000 US$ here. Look at it, seems like Samsung is desperated for selling them worldwide.

No, it was in one of those superstores with tons of brands.. He recommended Samsung series 6, 7 and 8. And yes, the series 8 (8008) that I looked at was just so amazing.. But the price-tag.. lol.. for a 42".. €1600 or more.

I think even my 46" is too small, no idea why you would want 42" unless you are sitting 5 feet away. At 6 feet even the human eye can barely differentiate between 720p and 1080p on a tv that size.

55" TVs are so overpriced Sad If you really want 50"+ and want to spend big money on it, wait for 4K TVs to get affordable.

3D System is amazing I have to admit.
Mine is Serie 7. For that price, was a blast. It was only for a weekend that they had it for 999US$.
