What's wrong with actors in Mad Max. Tom Hardy can play tough guys so IMHO he is valid choice for Max. And Charlize can play evil bitches.
Better look at the cast for Evil Dead.

yeah i agree, tom hardy is an enjoyable actor, i dont get his problem... perhaps he would have preferred shia labeouf or sam worthington i guess...
also i didnt think heavy metal was a remake.... i thought they were doing a new collection of story segments. a remake would be so utterly pointless...
and escape from new york? they already remade that. they called it lockout
also, not on that list...
theyre doing a live action/cgi remake of the brave little toaster fucking hollywood, man...

About Heavy Metal - They made a TV series with stories from the original french magazine - it's called Metal Hurlant Chronicles.

meh
i still definately want to see dredd and im kinda interested in fury road.
seven samurai remake actually pisses me off though. everyone knows its been reimagined for western cinema and tv MANY times, but to go back AGAIN once more and take the idea but this time put in even LESS originality and finally just up and directly rip it off by flat out doing a samurai remake... oh man...
also the crow remake makes NO sense, since each film in the franchise had the same premise but with a different character... for fucks sake just make a NEW crow film, theres no need to reuse the draven character. ditto with highlander, just make a NEW highlander film... every one in the franchise was effectively a reboot, so why not just do another one in the same vein.
I WILL SAY that i actually do kinda want to see what they can do with pet semetary to be honest. i mean the films old enough that its not unreasonable to take another shot at a movie based on the book.
and i feel ashamed for saying it, but the starship troopers remake has me interested.... i mean its an alien battle film ffs, how could i not be atleast slightly interested in it, even if i do dearly love the original and think a remake is pointless.
THAT SAID, the movie was wildly different from the book, so if they decide to do a movie closer to that, then why the fuck not? it'd be a massively different film... im definately going to wait until i know more (and no that wasnt a pun, dammit)
ill tell you what SHOULD be on this list. fucking remake waterworld! hollywood should go back and look at ideas that were kinda ok but not well done, and go remake THOSE. there are SO many good-but-not-great ideas that were not well executed that would be PERFECT for reattempts, and not only would people not care theyd WELCOME them...

I'd be surprised if even half of those actually do come out - scripts are ordered and actors get attached to projects all the time, doesn't mean they'll get made.

Isn't Taken a sort of modernized remake of Commando?
Ex something, kills everyone in his way to get his kidnapped daughter back.

just because something has the same concept, doesnt make it a pseudo remake...
when the guy is some kind of retired army TANK, and his daughter gets kidnapped and he gets her back with a rocket launcher and hanging dudes off of roof tops by holding their leg in his hand, THEN its a remake.

Why would you remake movies like Mad Max, WarGames and so on.......i couldn't read the whole list it fucking started hurting while reading it. I'm being serious about that. I don't want remakes of alot of these movies.
Wtf is wrong with the ppl in charge, fucking greed is going to destroy the movie industry.

reason theyre remaking mad max is because i think they believe gibson is too old to continue the franchise as they originally intended...
i do agree wargames is kinda pointless to remake. back when it was made, it was a cool adventure story and it atleast didnt seem like a silly story.
these days, itd just be too fucking stupid. hey everyone, a 12 year old hacked skynet. no, honestly. stop laughing. hes like a super genius and he haxed the military!! and hes goign to teach skynet the value of human life by playing world of warcraft with it!!

LOL at "Annie" starring Will Smith's daughter.
Most actors work their asses off tryng to break through, they work jobs and audition while honing their craft.
These little shits just ask mommy and daddy to buy them movie roles. Pathetic.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Mad Max was supposed to be a 4 part but Mel got old and craaaazzzy so they are making remake/restart. And I don't think that it would be Mad Max 1 remake.
The thing with remakes is that they are easier to make (just rape the existing idea) and easier to cash in on them (ppl want to see it because they heard about the old one, have some memories with them).
But Evil Dead - I cry everytime I think about what they did with that badass series with badass hero.

I generally hate remakes but a remake of War Games in these times if well done could be very interesting.
Remakes of Escape from New York or The Warriors on the other hand.... nothing good can come out of that (just to name two of them) :\

They're remaking the remake of The Mummy? Why can't it stop? Soon there'll be a new remake of every (popular) movie, every year.

I wouldnt mind a remake if it was 100% animated. Would be nice to see what they could do - but I do get what you mean. The movie doesnt need a remake.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
