Well yeah sure quest ones, however you said stuff about sebastiano.. how did you make a doll for him? I mean i got no clue where to start.

I only did the one for jim since that was main quest, but rest? Should be able to create a doll and mc npcs/animals or whatever, and i got no clue how...

If Risen 1 is any indication, you'll wait half a year for the first patch. It's playable in its current state with some tweaks. the terribad combat won't be fixed anyway.

and speaking of terribad combat, how do I get the option to kick the crabs to pop up? I just killed 3 in a row, didn't get a single chance to kick. vs humans I can kick whenever I want

You need to hold down RMB and press space and that's all there is to it. Works like a charm for me.

Do I need to put the config file to "read only"? It seems to revert back to a 2kb file from 60kb when I exit the game.

You should edit the default xml file and not the user one, it'll work just fine. Smile
(Just find the values for the preset you are using and change them to what you want and enable or disable stuff as you see fit.)

I've finally played it, quite disappointing so far..

It seems that nothing has changed from the beta (which is definitely not a good thing), except for the performance, which is better and not as dramatically flawed as I thought it would be. Not that we're talking about a visually impressive game, though Razz, but I don't care much about that.

About the gameplay - and there's the rub - I'm still at the beginning of course, but I cannot not mention how underwhelming and generic is the combat system is, if compared to its predecessor..it's just, well, not fun. My poor mouse button #1 is pressing charges for rape

The atmosphere on the other hand seems to be good as well the sense of freedom typical of the PB games, but overall it feels like a step back (maybe even two). Let's hope it gets better..

Morrowind had horrible combat, still a great game. I'm glad people are starting to appraise the game for other aspects. I still have no idea why the fuck they'd change combat (they did it with G3 too), but I can look past it. I just hope it'll run good on my old 5850 Sad

Combat in Risen 1 wasn't much better though from what I remember. Same button mashing, but at least you could dodge.

Shadows are the killer, turn those down to Low or Medium and you'll get a significant performance boost. As for the game itself? It's not terrible, it just had shitty combat with the lack of dodging really hampering it. I'm not too far into the game to compare other aspects yet though.
