In my country (and in many others, I would guess) pre-order package for this game is a product by itself - even if I decide not to pre-order the game after all, the money I spent on it are still gone. Sure, one of the things it offers is a discount for the full game (for the amount the pre-order was priced), but the other is Early Access. So, yea, since EA decided to do it this way, people (or at least some of them, it seems) can actually EXPECT certain things, because they paid for them.

I'm sorry, the USA isn't doing that.

I'll stay off this game until new year I think, hate competing for mobs and spawns in the newbie area with 1000000+ people. Better to come some weeks later and not have to deal with that lauch-storm. I have no hurry either so...

About half way through the book ATM and up to this point it's my favorite Karpyshyn novels I've "read". So far it neatly ties together KOTOR, KOTOR2 and TOR. Just about to start listening to the part that seem to deal with the events during KOTOR2.
I can recommend it. Thanks to the background and other flavoring noises and music during intense moments makes it a very easy listen. Not just dry reading like every other audiobook I've listened to so far.

Doesn't the game have different instances of each location precisely for that reason?

30 min cooldown in the instance changes. (atleast in beta there was)

my point is some people think bioware/ea owe them more than the rest of us. they've clearly stated that early access is based on the date of pre order and that they cant guarantee when that will be so they wont notify you in advance. lets be honest, they're doing this to cover their asses first, but still a wise decision so people get early access and wont have problems with laggy servers and crashes etc.
what, some need a notice in advance when they wanna take a dump or bone their gfs? Like an office space type memo?

I think the general anger is from the phrasing 'up to 5 days'. Which points that there's a chance you'll get 5 days of early access.
While people on forum were saying, if you registered now you WONT get 5 days, no matter what.
Phrasing 'up to 5 days' would mean that they're randomly giving access to some new buyers, so they might get to start at 15th.
So, anger is justified IF they have no plans on giving early access on the 15th to anyone who hasn't bought the game long long ago. But unjustified if it's just a luck of the draw.
Also, the news that the early access has been moved earlier to 13th, makes me think that those who ordered it really early, get to start on 13th and maybe even all the rest on 15th, OR that this change allows them actually randomly give the 1-5 days for new players.
I ordered on 2nd of December and I'm happy with any early access, ofc hoping for the 15th but...

So much confusion, early play is based on when you pre ordered the game. Theres no random choosing or anything like that.
Hoping I get to play on the 15th, but tbh as long as i get to play this weekend im happy.

Except it cannot be if they still write on the ad that up to 5 days or early access. If they know that you cannot get 5 days anymore, they would have to write up to 4, 3, 2 or 1 day[s] of early access.
The advertisement is misleading if you keep offering a bonus which is not available. Once you know it's not available anymore you'll have to adjust your ad.

Yeah I only pre-ordered late november so I'm counting on getting access no earlier than the 15th. Anything before is a huge bonus as far as I'm concerned.

BioWare put our clan on a pvp server called "The Restoration Zone" (german pvp). My clanleader just got the info via mail from bioware.
