No wonder that, I am sleepy all of the time(My previous thread)..Can sleep 14 hours after drinking coffee :/
My iron levels are low. Doctor gave me Vitamin & Minerals tablet. But I literaly want to puke/throw up after taking them :/
It's caused by iron diffiency but most of the vegetables that include iron suck! And my mom does not really make any rich-iron-foods :/
WTF SO YOUNG AND SO SICK..but on other hand, thought it was diabetes but it was not sooo
DO NOT DO ANY BLOOD DONOR STUFF: your body will NOT like it at all.. ok thats out the way..
liver and spinach are good, cut out drinking tea if you do.
Eat balanced meals! At two of your meals, eat at least a small amount of meat, chicken, turkey or fish.
Cut way down on junk foods and soft drinks!
Don't drink tea or coffee with meals or within one hour after meals. They keep your body from getting iron from foods. If you must, Only drink them between meals.
Eat foods high in Vitamin C. Drink juice with cereal. Eat salads and vegetables with your meals. Have fruit for dessert.
Remember to take any vitamin or iron pill your doctor tells you to take
Foods High In Iron:
The foods highest in iron include: Beef, pork, lamb, liver, chicken, turkey, wild game, fish, shrimp and oysters.
Here are other foods that provide iron. They should be eaten with one of the foods highest in iron or a food high in Vitamin C.
Beans, dried or canned, all kinds
Peas, like blackeyed peas, field peas
Greens: mustard, turnip greens, spinach
Broccoli
Raisins
Prunes and prune juice
WIC cereals and other iron-fortified cereals
how about not behaving like a damn baby?
vitamin tablets are just fucking tablets, if they taste gross, throw em down with a glass of juice. any shitty vegetable can be cooked in a delicious way - if in doubt, add melted cheese and lots of sauce. oh and eat a metric crap ton of meat - by that i don't mean KFC, but a nice big bloody steak 2 times a week.
"nice big steak" = 200-250 gram range, 2 times a week = ~ 13 ounces while the study you linked first mentions people eating 35 ounces of red meat per week having increased risk of cancer, which is almost triple that, and later mentioning seven times as much for study purposes. eating it almost bloody instead of rare or even getting carpaccio once in a while cuts down on heterocyclic amines, which is a definitive plus, aside from tasting awesome. not to mention that most food-related illnesses stem from processed meat, which is not the case here. and of course eat it with veggies + salad, not french fries. what you end up with is a nice healthy low-carb (slimming down a bit never hurt anyone) meal.
aside from that, his liver will kill him waaaaay before his colon anyway
Dude, RED KIDNEYBEANS. They are an iron bomb. I eat a small tin every now and then, being a vegetarian and all. Beware of too much iron though: it will cause heart disease.
I feel rather tired during the day as well but not as much as when I was still eating meat. I've had my blood checked multiple times as well so it can't be anemia in my case. Well at least take comfort in the fact that you have found the cause! And be happy it ain't diabetes... that's lazy fatman's disease

Also there is this tiny factor you seem to forget... Stop drinking so much alcohol! xD
You forget you're speaking to a pole!
Seems to be true. If Polish immigrants are in the Dutch news it's usually about them walking drunk on the freeway in the middle of the night. Or driving drunk and hitting trees squishing themselves in the process.

Yep, apparently the blood disorder anaemia is now a mental illness based around playing video games. Both Theescapist and the "experts" agree.
Honestly, some people should just shut the fuck up unless they know what they're talking about.
@besthijacker
I was anaemic when I was younger, for quite a few years too, but luckily it cleared up. As much as you may not "like" vegetables (come on man, what are you.. five? ) it really is in your best interest to follow the advice of your doctor. You need to get your iron levels sorted otherwise you'll just feel lousy all the time mate.
