So i'm buying a bike through the cycle to work scheme but haven't got a clue where to start. I'm mainly going to be cycling to work but will use it at weekend for cycle paths and other off road excursions.
Does anyone know which type of bike is best, I think i'm going to go for a Hybrid but with no rear or front suspension.

My sisters boyfriend bought this bike:
It's absolutely great. He traveled through several islands here in Cro this summer, and he drives it around down. It's light, aluminum body...
Was a bit pricey (~850€ iirc), but he said it's the best investment he made so far

How about getting 2 bikes? It's such a pain in the ass to drive a mountain bike in the city compared to a racer.

post prices dammit
i bought mine last year, a little less than 200 euros and it's built like shit tbh, i should take it apart and put it back together, at least it's lightweight and i don't really take care of it as in i don't really give a shit if a go through nails or force the gears, it's a god damn bike, it should take whatever i give it
also depends on your height how thick the frame should be, the taller and heavier you are the thicker it should be
a friend of mine built his own bike, front-rear disc breaks and a proper frame and it did cost him around 700 euros but it's money well spent since would have paid over 1 grand if didn't build it and bought one, basically it's like building your own spec instead of buying pre-built

Buckled the back wheel, had it for what, a month. They charged me to fix it as well as apparently 'ive been going up curbs' which I havent.
Im starting to get right into cycling though it's quite addictive. Im also compelled to buy loads of cycling related clothes, it's almost like an addiction.
