What card and drivers?
(You likely need 11.4 at least, better yet 11.5a released today.)

Uhm no I don't have an AMD card. I'm just reading on the TW forums that it doesn't work for most people.

But, I got several problems too. Game not starting for example ^^

Suddenly I can't select low or medium shadows (DX9 or DX10 ..don't have 10.1 or 11).
Low and medium is the same as off, but high and ultra work (all is fine in the preferences script file).

edit:
By changing the memory size in the preferences to 2GB (my card has 512MB) I can finally do any combination. I don't know why with the real detected size it doesn't allow me to use lower settings but allows higher ones lol

It's definitely the video memory and those two options. With lower memory i can't do texture/shadow (high/low), but with fake memory size i can do any combination. Makes sense doesn't it? :-\
Damn their AMD anti-nvidia support Razz

OK, this patch is truly amazing! Performance now seems to be so much smoother, despite the game looking completely amazing now! The lighting is just... spectacular! We've grown so used to the ugly blocky shadows and low precision shading, that this is just amazing on first look. And I no longer see the transition between the various LOD levels in models, so I guess they are using tessellation to smoothly go from one LOD level to another - now that's an effective use of tessellation in my opinion.

Yeah the performance has really improved. I can finally use ultra unit detail without the game becoming a slideshow. My only gripe is the skies are now super bright, but maybe that's just a case of disabling one of the settings.

Even if you apply it somehow (probably by extracting some files over the folder), you would still need a cracked EXE.
