It's a routine operation. It'll be fine unless you're some unlucky bastard and the surgeon makes a big mistake. I did read that tests show nightvision diminishes a bit, but that was ~1 year ago.

Why are you undertaking a laser eye surgery?

Because his hearing is a little dodgy obviously

Good luck, matey! I envy you sir, I've been wanting to get laser-corrective surgery for a while now, but meh... even for the "low end" LAZIK treatment it's still £400+ per eye.

after reading more about what laser surgery does to our eyes ,well the only serious draw back is after 5 or more years you will be forced to take eye drops for the rest of your life , your eyes will have problems with adjusting its sensitivity to light [going from a dark room to a light one , the halos or imprints of light will stay longer] and that your eyes will tire more [hurt when you use them too much]

Hmm well you need particles like water vapour or dust in the air to scatter the beam like that unless air molecules can have the same effect, perhaps dingo_d can shed some light.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_pointer
Quote: |
Some higher-powered laser pointers project a visible beam via scattering from dust particles or water/fog droplets along the beam path. Higher power and higher frequency lasers (green or blue color) may have a visible beam even in clean air due to Rayleigh scattering from air molecules, especially when viewed in moderately-to-dimly lit conditions. The intensity of such scattering increases when these beams are viewed from angles near the beam axis. Such pointers, particularly in the green-light output range, are used as astronomical-object pointers for teaching purposes, in the same general manner as flashlights.

I know what you mean Syco. Laser corrective surgery isn't exactly the oldest method in the book, I don't think the long-term effects have been properly documented yet either. There's a lot of maybe's and if's and but's surrounding it :\

Personally I think I'll wait some more years, when the laser surgery will be replaced by something cheaper and 100% reliable:
