It's alcohol-management, nothing less nothing more. Well, that and the fact that the government is pulling in money through selling liquor to the Swedes.

They could do that without systembolaget etc, through taxes . They already are but for some reason their governments wants to limit who can sell it.

I used to love Julmust - but nowaydays I can only drink a couple of glasses before i feel all full.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

I've heard it from several sources, the thing is you need to age it in a glass bottle (not plastic), there are plenty of people who keep last years julmust to improve the taste. Google it, I found several hits on "lagra julmust".

Just want to make a distinction here. Norwegian julebrus is not related to Julmust. Julmust contains malt and hops + a bunch of secret spices and stuff. Norwegian julebrus is similar to ordinary soft drinks like eventyrbrus etc.
