because it seems like no person under 20 can buy anything(?) at systembolaget, and 3,5% is maximum in supermarkets in Sweden (4,7 in Norway). They even have a 3,5% guinness, lol!

We pretty much got the same system, but people here can buy up to 22% when they are 18 at "vinmonopolet"

It's alcohol-management, nothing less nothing more. Well, that and the fact that the government is pulling in money through selling liquor to the Swedes.

They could do that without systembolaget etc, through taxes Razz. They already are but for some reason their governments wants to limit who can sell it.

Yet a packet of cigarettes in Norway is more than twice the price. Same with most things in Norway really. That's why norwegians near the Nor/Swe border travel across to buy humongous amounts of stuff.

I've heard it from several sources, the thing is you need to age it in a glass bottle (not plastic), there are plenty of people who keep last years julmust to improve the taste. Google it, I found several hits on "lagra julmust".

Just want to make a distinction here. Norwegian julebrus is not related to Julmust. Julmust contains malt and hops + a bunch of secret spices and stuff. Norwegian julebrus is similar to ordinary soft drinks like eventyrbrus etc.
