Problem with the memory socket, i think
Asus states that mobo won't post if u place sticks in A2 and B2
http://support.asus.com/faq/asus-faq.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&no=89BB904F-C597-EE76-36CD-E0EDCD6CDD00
if i placeone stick in A2 and other stick in any other socket it won't post either, but on their website it says that it should post in A2 and A1, it doesn't, in my case at least, problem is i have only 2 sticks so i can't test all 4 sockets at once, anyone had any expirience with this? Should i rma mobo coz of defective socket or i'm simply doing something wrong
thnx in advance

Make/model of your RAM?
You should just use A1 and B1 really, that's the primary channel. According to the manual at least

Just browse your mobo manual, till the part where is Memory QVL list. Then there should be list of all OCZ memories which are compatible with your mobo, also it shows can you put 4x modules or just 2x. ASUS boards can be very picky about different RAMs. My M4A89GTD-PRO didnt support 2x 2GB Ripjaws at all, but it would have supported 2x 1Gb Ripjaws with same frequency and latency -_-.

memory is fully supported in the manual, i checked first before buying all this stuff believe me
besides pc boots with sticks in every other socket except for the first one (A2) with any possible combination, guess i need another same 2 sticks to satisfy my curiosity, besides with i5 memory controller is on cpu so it's more like compatibility cpu with memory rather than ram+mobo

Are there any BIOS updates ? Memory compatibility is often improved in new revisions.

No, it's just a limitation of the way P55 chipsets work
It should work fine if you test with a single chip though Mortibus. Ignore the Dual Channel and just test all 4 banks - if that works, it should work fine if you decide to upgrade and go for the full 4 chips

Switching back to PCI-E x8 won't cause that lag and stuttering, that's something entirely different. Most likely something off with your RAM timings or something like that
