  • Official web page : LINK
  • Developer : DoubleBear Productions
  • Publisher : Indie / digital distribution
  • Genre : Zombie Survival RPG
  • Release date : 2011(?)
  • Protection : n/a
  • Description :
    Quote:
    * PC RPG, turn-based, isometric 3rd person perspective using Iron Tower Studio‘s Age of Decadence engine (Torque 3D).
    * Game is being developed cooperatively with Iron Tower Studio and other talented independent developers
    * Set during the breakdown of society as emergence of zombies causes widespread panic and disorder.
    * Slow, shambling zombies. Spreads like a virus/bite transmission.
    * Serious examination of a national crisis or natural disaster. Humans and a lack of order are a bigger threat than the undead. Think Hurricane Katrina, Children of Men, Dawn of the Dead – NOT Resident Evil, Return of the Living Dead, zombie shooter-type games.
    * Game is about survival. Scavenging resources, exploring the area, dealing with other survivors, and managing a “shelter” of sorts are the main focus of the game.
    * Game is open-ended. There are characters and events that could happen, but the story depends on where you go, what you do, and who you meet.

There's plenty of free-roaming RPG's getting released soon, whereas turn-based ones are an increasingly rare breed these days.

Sounds sweet, finally something that might be a real Zombie RPG. So tired of all Zombie games just being glorified arcade shooters which is so fucking lame.

holy crap, me and a buddy came up with a game design something like this but more RTS and sent it off to a few game devs about it. Almost had Relic interestd but they were busy working on whatever game they were at the time. Glad to see someone else came up with something similiar

Turn-based AND zombies?? That's awesome Smile Would have prefered full party control too, but you can't have everything i guess.

Zombie survival sounds cool. So bored of the typical orks, elves, magic fantasy rpg setting too.

I love that the setting is around a school, it's extremely rare to see (Bully is the only recent game that i know of that takes place at a school).

I like their reasons behind not having full party control. Makes the npc's all the more believable and unique.

Hope this game is as fun as it should be, I've been itching to play something like this. Sounds like it'll be a long wait though, heh.

I didn't specify when, 'later' covers everything from this instant to infinity (and beyond!). Smug

Still no release date or anything, but yeah maybe the OP could use a little updating.

Seems they got the right idea, but it may be buggy or too unpolished and low budget ...
