I think pirates are only 5% or so. Most people buy there games

i'd just like to point out what a twat the guy that wrote that is. boo fuckin hoo, i had an idea and didn't do anything useful to contribute so - *SURPRISE* - a bunch of clever minds took it from me and ran with it. what the hell did he think would happen? i'm sure in this day and age of email, cell phones, and the internet those guys needed him to manage their day to day operations.
as for them charging for the ability to decrypt your key? once again just reminds of the directv satellite hacking days. everyone else is making money off their work so why shouldn't they? the days of any modders doing it for free will probably be over for sure by then.
i personally disapprove but who the fuck cares what i think anyway? i can't say i blame them - they are doing all the work and someone else is reaping all the rewards.

Oh please, without making this some fanboy rant every single game I have ever booted looks and plays better on the PS3.
[without the clatter and clanking] this is from someone who had a 360 from day 1.
There are the occasional titles that have been poorly ported on both machines, but for me game by game the PS3 is the superior console.

Look, I have both consoles, and regularly compare titles as well as comparing the overall consumer experience; after the pc I believe for me the PS3 is the better machine.
If MS came out with a better build and developed a game truly beyond the PS3's technological reach then I would snap it up, I am a gamer first and last and do not slavishly follow either Microsoft's or Sony's diktat. |

Oh for fucks sake?! No-one is fucking complaining that they're banned! No-one is BLAMING c4eva for being banned! The ONLY statement made so far, by Sabin, is that it's BECAUSE of c4eva that people are banned, wich IS TRUE. It's peoples own FAULT on the other hand, and NO-ONE is denying that, what is so fucking hard to understand?
I'm very thankful for what c4eva has done for the scene and the community (wich Sabin is too, as he SAYS). Now that he has released a NUMBER of "undetectable" FW's, that were in fact, detectable, he has enough information about how they are detected, to actually make one that he feels can be TRULY undetectable. So, he's planning on cashing in on it. THAT'S the man fucking point here. Either you like it, or you don't. You can dislike that fact AND STILL respect the guy for the work he has put in over the years. Personally, i'm on the fence so far, don't know if I like the idea or not. But I'm still very thankful for the work he has done in the past, and if LT/iX 1.7 proves to really be undetectable, i would consider paying for it, sure.

sure,they banned from live most of the pirates,
but you still CAN pirate games for the 360,and there has been HUGE progress on fully hacked it
to run homebrew and more.

it's simple. Keep your banned console for playing games offline/trialing games then get a non modded one or a ps3 for playing the 1 or 2 games worth buying and playing online, MW2 and ???? Forza maybe?

Aye, good call ^_^ A friend of mine has offered me his 360 for £50, if it turns out it's banned.. but meh, I'd rather just buy a new one anyway as I've got a ton of DLC and XBLA titles that I won't be able to transfer if the machine can't connect to live.

Everyone has there favo console , I got both aswell but only buy the exclusives on PS3 , because I prefer the X360 controller over the PS3 one.
Plus and this is just my own opinion I find that multiplatform games look better on the Xbox 360 then the PS3.

There's one major flaw in your theory. XB Live ban doesn't stop from playing games for free. Remember PS2 or Xbox1? No one cared about multiplayer back then and everyone was happy with single player. It's just now everyone got spoiled with using live on modded console and getting banned looks like sky is falling, when in fact it doesn't mean much at all. Cos as I already said, you can still play every single game on a banned console.

I don't have a 360, so I'm not following 100%. What brought this change ? Are ppl forced to upgrade their firmware to the "paid" one ? And why ?
For example, a friend of mine has the 360, some new iextreme version after the wave3 thingy. and isn't banned, so ... ?
