"Nearly three years after Paul Schrader began production on his prequel to The Exorcist, Morgan Creek Productions has decided to give the film a May 20th theatrical bow, one day after Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith is released.
Variety says Warner Bros. Pictures will handle the movie's distribution, under its former arrangement with the production company. Schrader's movie began production in November 2002 and Morgan Creek left the Warners lot for Universal Pictures in late 2003.
Morgan Creek's Jim Robinson pulled the plug on Schrader's nearly finished film in September 2003 over creative differences. The producer spent another $35 million to have Renny Harlin take another stab at it, with Stellan Skarsgård once again starring as troubled Father Merrin. Harlin's film earned $76.9 million worldwide."

ah fuck me, so they salvaged schrader's work from the harlin disaster to make another disaster. i stand corrected, couldn't have imagined them brining the same crap out twice.

also you are full of shit, since the movie has already had some screenings, most notably in march in the brussels festival of fantasy films. ppl that saw it there say it was awful. there's a nifty little site called imdb that you might wanna check before acting like you know it all.

Kids on imdb know shit about movies
You look at imdb for info on the movie not to read the discussions
the ones who said they saw the movie and said it sucked didn't watch the movie
those who did watch it said it was awful and gave precise details why
Others who liked the movie said positive things about it
The one thing you should note is this “The movie succeeds where Harlin’s version fails”
So... call me a fool all you want but look where you're getting your sources.
I can easily go on imdb and paste you some positive shit about the worst movie ever. Does it mean the movie is good cause some people liked it?

listen, your going round telling the movie is not out and no-one except press and crew can watch it, that was bullshit
secondly, schrader has a reputation for boring movies AND i have seen the other exorcist prequel which was so bad i almost turned it off, something i never do normally, so i'm taking an educated guess this one won't win me over either, especially since the ending sucks so bad (even the positive reviews admit that). also i'm not pasting stuff from imdb, i've read some reviews and some user's comments and based on that, together with the original movie which i've seen and the director's most recent othger movies, i think i'm more informed than you, who's claimin 'only crew and press can see this movie so nobody dare comment on it!!!'. tool.

i don't really have 'top 3 movies' as i find it difficult to compare a movie like i.e. casshern with a movie like i.e. paris, texas. two movies i like a lot tho, but completely different in style, subject, and era they were made in.
check the other thread where i quote some other ones i like.
