Michael Bay didn't direct Amityville Horror remake (or the Texas Chainsaw one either). He produced it. Some new guy directed it. Anyway I saw it last night. I thought it a decent creepy horror movie.

great quality for theatre copy in my opinion
while ctp has little better quality with their releases
i think that saosin is the best theatre release group now - good quality, quick releases - amityville debuted this weekend, and good quantity of releases by saosin
hope they release star wars ep 3..ftf released the first copy when ep2 came out, it sucked something fierce

I remember the "Machinist"'s first release... Sad It was scary and thrilling then the movie itself

About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.

Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.

She's not in it, you're thinking of sky captain. Which is another film with CG locations. It's also shit.

I didn't like any of the films except Hide and Seek... especially Assault on Precint 13 was same old action shit... as Hostage also...

best action movies i recently saw (not new per se)

- ong bak
- casshern
- house of flying daggers
- versus

best drama:

- sideways
- garden state

best horror:

- i'm into italian horror these days so i'm watching a lot of dario argento's movies Smile

most recent movies really disappoint, like saw and white noise i.e., both very disappointing.

a quirky little indie movie i've seen last weekend was employee of the month, recommendable mostly for the funny dialogue reminding me in parts of office space and old school...

yeah i like both slow moving indie drama and fast jap over the top action Smile

good dialogue can make me excited just as good action sequences can... movies i can't stay awake for are for example the matrix movies, because the cgi generated action is so fake and clean and cold i just don't care about it. felt like watching a video game cutscene during those three movies... and i skip all video game cutscenes except when they are done by the masters at square or namco!

So that's why you insulted me on my Matrix avatar. Just because you didn't like them doesn't mean you know everything about movies.

And if you skip all video cutscenes you're an idiot. You'll miss a lot of the plot then. And some games have a great plot. MGS series, Mafia, Max Payne 1 & 2, etc. just to name a few.

Hahhaha exactly, skipping cutscenes in games is like forwarding the most important parts in a movie...
I played Mafia only for the cutscenes Very Happy

If u want a movie with a REAL good dialog watch "JFK".

Yeah even though it still had great gameplay the main thing I started to play for was the story. Towards the end I kept dying so I just downloaded a trainer so I could finish the game easily and finish the story.

Ya, I mean the gameplay is super too, but the story is the main part what makes the game sooooooo good. It's like u watching some Oscar Winning Movie.

GTA is no where near it... All of the missions in Mafia connected, which makes the story good and organized. GTA has some stupid missions like kill the Pizza boy before he delivers all of his Pizzas... GEEZ!

But yea... Skipping cutscenes sucks badly Sad

Meh, the story of Mafia was nothing special in my opinion, but when combined with the gameplay it was a great game.

I though that KOTOR 1 had one of the best storylines i've seen so far, although I haven't finished jade empire yet. Smile
