A teacher got kidnapped in front of the whole school by loan sharks and turned up dead 2 hours later. 2 of the killers are jailed.

I just arrived home and i heard the talk from close friends of mine, one of the killers is the nephew of the loanshark and he lives near us and hangs out with some of my neighborns, he was the one who moved the teacher out of the school.

He related that the teacher owned his uncle 400,000 pesos, they wanted to shake him up, scare him so they kidnapped him and drove him around, then the guy jumped from the moving car and then they shot him trying to scare him... they shot him in the back (what a load of bs) the guy was abandoned and he died. A lot of witnesses linked them (everyone saw him being kidnapped) and they admited kidnapping and shooting him to "scare him"

While i was hearing the talk, the nephew called one of my friends from jail, saying that he was being released in a couple of days.

Fuck this shit, seriously. Fuck this crap, fuck justice, fuck crime, fuck everything, i cant fucking believe that a life is worth so little.

There's always Europe, Spain for instance. Similar weather (but calmer) and you can go up north and ski in the mountains. Meanwhile it's not a lawless latin american hellhole (at least nowhere like in the Dominican Republic).

Man, I'm sure glad the law here in Europe is so much stricter >.< Can't believe they'd just let that guy walk. I was reading the papers here today, some guy was sentenced for 2 rapes and a few robberies to 20 years. And another one got 11 years for trying to smuggle 1 kilo of marijuana into the country. But the winner is one guy who got 7 years for 5 grams of heroin Laughing And in case someone wonders why 11 years for a kilo and 7 for 5 grams, heroin is considered higher class substance here and much more dangerous.

it's not all about the money, it's also about respect and not fucking with people who lend you the money, and avoiding to return money, loansharks has a habit to abnormally ask for more money so every time "you" need money think twice, to avoid problems.

That's kinda hard to estimate. There is a ton of factors affecting. I can tell you the latest few convictions I've read about in the newspapers. One conviction was 40 years sentence, one was 35 and the last one 30 or 35, not sure. Also, do note that in Serbia, maximum prison sentence is 40 years.

Yeah I know there are factors to include - but it would still be interesting Smile

I dug up a bit and found this:

A guy killed his boss for firing him = 35 years

Armed robbery where they tortured and killed the homeowner = 40 years + accomplice got 30 years

A husband and wife neglected their child and eventually the kid died due to it = they both got 40 years

A guy shot a 3 year old child during an armed robbery = 40 years

A guy hit a traffic police officer when he tried to stop him and ran him over = 20 or 25 years not sure

However, there are some retarded exceptions. A football hooligan stabbed another one during a massive fight between rivals, and got only 10 years for that.

I suppose so. But like I said, many factors are taken into considerations. I've seen sentences of like 15 years too. Or 16, 18, etc.

Here average sentence for planned murder is about 10.5 years of prison + limitation of freedom for about 1.5 years (Person is forbidden to enter public places cinemas, restaurants etc. ). But it's still possible to get a life sentence.

EDIT: Fixed. 17.5 is for terrorism Embarassed

Psf, murder here usually u get 1 year and then you pay bond and ur out. unless its a high high media attention case, which rarely happens.

Also heard another story that night a cousin of one of our neighborns got caught dealing 40 kilos of cocaine to a captain from the local "DEA", they set him up and caught him red handed selling it. He payed 2.5 million pesos and was free, they only told him to get out of the country and he currently lives in USA, with all this dirty money.

Oh life....

Daaamn, you'd get locked up for good for that much cocaine here. Also, here is an example of bullshit in our justice system, a guy was driving drunk, he ran over two teens and killed them both. He's 27. In the past, he was fined and suspended 6 times for driving under the influence of alcohol. He got sentenced to 11 years, but today, for some reason, the appeal court lowered his sentence to 8 years + 5 years license suspension after he gets out.... Thats fucking BULLSHIT. He should've gotten 20 years.... piece of shit drunk drivers.

A friend of my family went to Dominican Republic. The place they stayed at was fantastic, but it was some special tourist complex, full of hotels and stuff, and they were advised not to leave the secured area.

If you come here, follow the tourist guide and zones, and DO NOT GO OUT alone to walk or at night, you will not know which places are dangerous and how you are gonna get caught. Otherwise its pretty safe, you just have to know what to do and not do. If theres one thing that our fucking politicians protect is tourism, everything else? fuck it.

But living here? its fucking hell. the father of a coworker was ran over while riding a motorcycle by a lady in a big suv. she kept going and stopped pretty far when the radiator blew up. she killed him and a passenger.

My coworker told me that the lady is gonna go free, i almost cried in front of him, i dont think i could handle something like that. according to some other coworkers the law actually benefits you if ur victim is dead. But if the victim is injured, you are pretty fucked, so in short, if u run over a cyclist, put reverse and kill him, its safer that way. What kind of fucking example is that. The worst thing is that she was proved have left them for dead and ran away, and her insurance is getting her free.

I did a uni internship at the prosecutor's office like 7 years ago. There was a case of a homeless guy killing another with a knife over a 2$ bottle of Eau de Cologne they were about to drink.
