So i need to go to damn army at january, and i need to get decent laptop which plays games (not interested about the overpriced gaming laptops). Games what i will play are Diablo III (and some other similar) since its coming early next year, and perfect stress killer in army at free time! Very Happy

Laptop needs to have:

Strong CPU
decent GPU
15.6" max screen size (i dont like big laptops, it needs to be portable, mini laptops are damn sweet, but not powerfull enough)
4-8GB ram
HDD (doesnt really matter i will throw my old 120GB Kingston SSD to the laptop, for extra smoothness)

Budget is 800€

This has caught my attention when i was watching some laptops

Asus X53SV 15.6"

Screen: 15.6" HD (1366x768)
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5 2410M 2.3 GHz
Memory: 6 GB (4+2 GB) DDR3-1333
HDD: 500 GB SATA 5400 rpm (will throw it to the hills)
GPU: NVIDIA GT 540M 2 GB

And some other stuff.... It costs 699,90€. What you guys think? Is there better for the similar price? And it should be enough for the games i mentioned. Why all laptops has that damn glossy screen, i hate it Very Happy

Fixed. Very Happy

Looks good enough.
Only upgrade I can see would be getting an i7-2630QM over that i5-2410.
We have the K53SV-SX285V for 799€ around here, surely you can find it for 50-100€ less there?

That model costs in here 802€ Very Happy Pretty tempting tho Razz Not sure if its any better for my needs. Need to think about this, will place order at the end of week anyway.

Laptop with those specs will probably put out some serious heat lol. Its like volcano at your lap. Not to mention it will probably blow up instantly after 2 year warranty. Feels like these days laptops has some timer Very Happy Have had 2 laptops, both has died just after the warranty.

Take a look at Dell XPS 15 and possibly XPS 15z.
Or MacBook Air, because remember:

when it comes to macs vs pcs... specs mean shit really...

im not bashing your results but you can't really look at mac specs and then look for pc hardware and compare prices... and call it exactly the same because the hardware is the same... that's just silly Very Happy

lulz Very Happy

Will never get Mac tho!

Anyway that Dell looks sexy, need to check some German prices. Forgot totally that i can get cheaper from there anyway (and those Dell models... Not a single one at finnish retailers -.-).

EDIT: That dell is too overpriced Very Happy Same performance than the asus one i linked, and costs nearly half more (Macbook air wannabe). Anyway those i5 and i7 Asus models... 100€ cheaper in germany it seems than in finland.

its 3 months "old" ;< He send me pics and its pretty much brand new, even has protective acrylic shit on the laptop.

Not bad for 1000e since it would cost like 1300-1400€ with separate SSD and bigger HDD.

So i just got the laptop and i can say damn im impressed by the performance of it. Skyrim runs at 1080p with custom AA on ultra details about 40fps. Need to test out some more games.

Laptop itself feels so good, very nice keyboard and nice build quality on the casing. Speakers are awesome for laptop, even has mini subwoofer Cool Face (gives nice liitle punch to souds) Very Happy. There is also turbo button which overclocks the GPU little (unlocks also core limit). Cooling is great when you press the touch button to increase rpm (not noisy) GPU is about 70-75 in gaming.

Screen also looks awesome since its full HD (very sharp looking at 15")

Dunno but it was great buy even that it was used. Pretty much brand new conditio (not a single scratch on it even). Not bad for 1000€ since it has 7,2k rpm separate HDD and 64GB samsug SSD also + over 1,5 years of warranty left.
