An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.
Director: Rupert Wyatt
Writers: Pierre Boulle (suggested by novel "La planete des singes"), Rick Jaffa
Stars: James Franco, Andy Serkis and Freida Pinto
From The Visual Effects Company for AVATAR... mmmm
I dont mind bearded or armored apes, it's like that in the original movies.. I also really loathe sci-fi going "we're going to make it realistic" lol.. the trailer was really disapointing.
I've never wanted to know about the origin because how shit at war would we have to be to lose to fucking monkeys. I mean in the beginning they cant be that many??
8 out of 10 dentists prefer zipfero to competing brands(fraich3 and Mutantius)!
i really liked the original planet of the ape movies. And the remake was okish too. But this one seems to go the same route that all scifi seems to take nowadays. An anti-science one. Like V turning into a preacher vs. evil technology-aliens. Or the lame ending of lost, etc. etc.
the original movie had the core concept of criticizing society's way of treating the working class through the view on slave-labour monkeys and their uprising. This just seems like another bullshit anti-genetics / anti-evolution / pro-christianity bullshit story-line.
I ll watch it, but i know i probably will hate it, if the trailer is any indication on the quality
