Ok, it's been discussed many times before, however, I need your expert opinions.
I'm willing to buy one of these cards. so which one is better for gaming, performance wise.
And, what is the difference between the x800 and the x800 Platinum Edition.
I know it's a lame and overtalked issue, but please help me make up my mind.

If you got the money wait for X850XT PE. It will have pixel shader 3.0 support and a higher clock rate.

I would wait till the next generation of cards (not just x850, the next one with architectual changes...) unless it's urgent, and neither of these cards is "better" than the other, it all depends on who nvidia or ati pay... they're both about the same.
<< ATI fan however.

I own a 5950 Ultra 256MB, do u think I should change it now to X800 Xt, or, wait a little bit...

The ultra beats the XT at most levels. The Ultras main rival is the PE. If you are gonna buy one, I suggest the 6800GT. Especially if you have a PCI-E motherboard.

Yup, but there's also a so called ULTRA EXTREME that's even tougher hehe. But seriously buy the X850 because it's just around the corner. Should be out in 1 or 2 weeks.

It's just a never ending story lately with these cards...
You'll have to be a master in order to know which card to buy and when...
