The World's End

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1213663/

Quote:
Five friends who reunite in an attempt to top their epic pub crawl from 20 years earlier unwittingly become humankind's only hope for survival.

Anyone heard of this? They are filming today here in Letchworth in Hertfordshire, about 10 minutes from where I live. The story is about a pub crawl between 12 different pubs with the last one being 'The World's End' which is actually one of my locals known as 'The Gardeners Arm's

My girlfiriend is in Letchworth town at the moment and just text me saying she saw Simon, Pegg, Nick Frost and Martin Freeman. She says she spoke to Nick Frost and got his autograph! And I cant go out as Im stuck at home with the kids! lol.

After Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Paul, this is bound to be something special! Smile

May the NFOrce be with you always.

Did Pegg dyed his hair black? It's for this movie, or did he started to sport it recently? Confused

Either way, it seems he'll be black haired for this as well:

Simon Pegg chases a car as he shoots scenes for new film alongside pal Nick Frost

Maybe Paul shouldnt have been mentioned as its not part of the blood and ice cream trilogy since Edgar Wright did not direct Paul.

Star Trek has been in post for a while now.

Anyway, this looks great, love pegg Very Happy

Pretty much love all his work, except maybe the newest Fantastic Fear of Everything, which is just too weird for me.

They were filming in Letchworth again today. They renamed one of my locals from 'The Three Magnets' to 'The Trusty Servant'.

Apparently its due for release 14th August here in the UK.

I'm curious whether they can pull off another film like the previous two. Hopefully the long delay after Hot Fuzz wasn't due to creative problems.

That's what I mean. Paul, made by Pegg without Wright, wasn't nowhere near the level of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. The same goes for Scott Pilgrim (Wright without Pegg), which had great directing but a rather underwhelming script.
Now with the two of them collaborating again, I hope for another masterpiece. However, I fear the possibility that they have just run out of creative juice and that Paul and Scott Pilgrim are representative of the filmmakers they are today. Shaun of the Dead was almost ten years ago, they aren't the same people anymore they were back then.
