I guess the price for "low-mid end" users. I have no idea regarding the details of these cards. I just found that on a German site. I guess NV will come with something more official as we get closer to April.

Not everyone can afford a 384bit card... I think it's great that they are pushing the DX10 cards to as many people as possible, as opposed to stupid AMD that is delaying and delaying...

There are no games because only small fraction of users have DX10 cards...
No drivers, well... FUCKING nVIDIA!

The amount of cards being sold has nothing to do with the amount of DX10 games being made.

Well it looks like that 8600GTS or Ultra or whatever it will be called is gonna perform between a 7900GS and 7900GT. It's got half the stream processors or whatever as a 8800GTX. If everyones prediction of it performing within that gap and it retailing at that price then it's gonna be one hell of a card.

A 6600GT chokes at 1024x768 with Medium settings, In my opinion it does perform like shit. It's a 9800Pro + 5% performance and SM3.

The 6600 gt is a balanced dx9 card at a good price when it came out, it could play all games at max settings 2 years ago. It is pretty much obsolete NOW, don't be confused.

Nobody is confused, why debate a cards performance 2 years ago? We are talking about now and it is a shit card now period. What does it matter if it ran your games max settings 24 months ago, it doesn't cut it today end of story.

Well I ran 16x12@30fps+ with recent games and most settings maxed on a 7600gt, and that still had 128bit interface, believe it or not. And not Everyone out there needs 8xAA+ to play a game. So I do not believe it to be as Huge a bottleneck...from experience. It is just another spec, one of many. Benchmarks will tell the final story.
And if users want dx10 they have more options. Of course if Nvidia prices these cards at the high-end of the spectrum, I wonder why someone wouldn't just grab a 8800gts with 320mb instead of 8600gts. Besides that, seems very reasonable for budget rigs.
Core i7 920 @ 3.8Ghz | 6GB OCZ DDR3 8-8-8-24 @ 1600mhz | eVga x58 Mobo | 2 x eVga GTX 460 SLI | Intel X25-M + 3x Seagate + WD Black = 2.75TB | X-Fi Titanium | PCP&C Silencer 750 | G15 KB | G5 Mouse | G35 Headset | Z-5500 Digital | Samsung T260HD

I think they are aiming at the right market with that 128bit bus card they will be offering. It's for the budget concious not the guys who shelled out $800 on a huge display, there is a much larger market for mid to low range cards then there is for the super high end.
Besides the 7600GT of last gen proved that even with a narrow bus it can perform quite well and I believe Nvidia will prove that again with this card.

Exactly Im personally getting this in April I do not play at high resolution anyway so I dont really need the additional 320mb ram... And it should be quite a nice graphic card overall.

bad move fron Nvidia. Who's gonna waste money on a 256mb card when current and futures games will require 512?
