I just got a new computer with a GeForce 7900 GT card, but for some reason I can't get tv-out to function as it did on my old GeForce cards

When I run a video on my computer it goes full-screen on my tv, and depending on which movie I run, I get into one of two problems:

1) The movie fills out all of the screen, as my tv isn't a 16:9 tv, everything becomes taller than it should be

2) The other problem is much worse: This also goes to the top of the tv (making everybody taller), but it doesn't use the space at the sides of the tv, making it look like this:

How do I make the videos show up as they're supposed to? :

It doesn't matter which video player I use

check nvidia controll center or summat. you can enter it by going to monitor properties and then advanced.

In the latest driver at video options you can tell the driver on what tv you are watching it.

either 4:3 or 16:9

so check there Smile

Just installed the latest drivers, but can't find that option anywhere. I did manage to get all movies to show full screen now, but there's still the "everything is too tall" problem

I have searched through the control panel (both new and old style) many times, but haven't anywhere to set 4:3 or 16:9

But looking at the threads on the nvidia forum, it seems like this is a problem with the new drivers... I guess I have to revert back to some older driver instead Sad

Get Zoom Player so you can change the aspect ratio.
