Is their any sites that have Just SFV files?? Like this site contains the NFO's so Im guessing somewhere there has to be a SFV site...? Anyone know?
Thanks

are those rar files (or other compressed archive files)? Because extracting usually also checks for file integrity
Else you re screwed i suppose

I've always wondered why this site (or others like it) dont also archive the sfv files as well as the nfo...
I think whoever starts that will see a big surge in traffic... people on IRC are always saying that there should be a site with NFO and SFV, that way we can see if what we have is the scene rls or a repack.
Any reason why these sites dont do it??

i never got the reason for SFV files anyway, it checks so your files arent corrupt... emm.... how often are files corrupt? like 1 in 1000, what do you do then?
You know it is corrupt because you tried to extract since you dont fiddle with SFV crap since its a 1 in 1000 chance that a file is corrupt..
Instead of even wasting a tought on a useless file in 999 cases out of 1000
Well, okay the error-ratio may be a BIT higher, depending on your crapsources/connections..

I think alot of people use sfv files to check their downloads. Especially those that circulate scene rls to ensure they are posting the actual rls and not a repack.

Sometimes the extraction doesn't fail at the file that's broken. SFV checks helps people identify which file that is broken, so they only have to re-download that file.
