| CachyOS can be very unstable with the cavalier way they push updates and break stuff. The issue with Bazzite is how opinionated it is, and due to the nature of it being "immutable" (root mounted as read-onlly), once you do hit issues, it's hard to deal with them in a sustainable manner. |
Bazzite is exactly what I needed to make the jump. It works pretty much oob. Installation was easier than Windows. Performance is very good. All my peripherals were automatically detected etc. I have yet to find something that doesn't work.
But I am sure, that down the line, I will and then I will want to try another distro. So what do you recommend? Just out of curiosity.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
