I personally make it a point to see as little sunlight as possible. I learned early on that I have two shades - white, or burned, there is no inbetween for me. Thus, all my vitamin D production stems from the holy glow of the monitor!
Seriously though, I'm probably Vitamin D deficient like a motherfucker. One does not simply go to the doctor for a checkup in this country, unless you're cool going into crippling debt as soon as they find something wrong. 
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.
