Dude, it IS incredibly stupid to go sunbathing without sun protection when the UV index is at it's highest. Ehh, i was hasty in my reply. I do agree that it's stupid. If not getting skin cancer, you are definitely ruining your skin. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but as you age it'll be very visible.

I don't suspect any of the old fogies on this board are among those who practice this though.

I personally make it a point to see as little sunlight as possible. I learned early on that I have two shades - white, or burned, there is no inbetween for me. Thus, all my vitamin D production stems from the holy glow of the monitor! Seriously though, I'm probably Vitamin D deficient like a motherfucker. One does not simply go to the doctor for a checkup in this country, unless you're cool going into crippling debt as soon as they find something wrong.
