I bought some Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones and they work great on Android
However, on PC and Deck, there's a significant audio delay. I did some reading around and the tablet uses aptX, but I can't see a way to enable this on PC. I tried some poxy driver based solution, but it didn't work.
Is there a way around this? Doesn't have to be aptX, but something that simply cuts down the crazy delay. All I could otherwise find was this:
https://us.creative.com/p/speakers/creative-bt-w5
But it's kind of annoying having to plug that into something like the Deck with it's single USB-C port (can't charge and listen at the same time)
Help me, NFO-wan Kenobis!

I had a similar issue with my quest 2. Ended up going with the wired way.
(Sorry)

Bluetooth - Bluetooth 5.0 (support for controllers, accessories and audio)

I had no problems with the deck and my WH-1000XM3 . I've read somehwere you can choose codecs in the PulseAudio app in desktop mode, but I don't have my deck anymore so can't check that.
On PC I use the older BT-W3 and it works flawlessly with aptx. I'm sure the delay is there, but I simply can't see it in movies or games. While using the integrated bluetooth the delay was noticeable.
It also actually works better than the FiiO BTA30 PRO I had, since the latter would introduce random choppiness sometimes.

I'm using a Creative BT-W3 dongle for bluetooth on my PC (no built-in). It has support for various codecs - aptX, aptX LL, aptX HD and SBC, though my Momentum 3 don't support aptX HD so it's always running on LL.. What codecs does your PC bluetooth support? I guess it's a built-in one on mobo?
Apparently forcing SBC on Deck solves the issue, and it's even possible to force LL in desktop mode. I don't own a deck so can't help with the details.

Not sure what the PC has, apparently Qualcomm own aptX and so Windows can't have it by default. Like I said, I tried a few different things, including a paid app trial that uses aptX somehow, but it was junk.
As for the Deck fix, I did see that post but it didn't work for me
Bought the BT-W5, the difference is night and day on PC. It's perfect now

I think it all comes down to what codec is being used
The tablet (Samsung Galaxy S9 FE+) uses v5.3
If I change it to a shitty codec, the delay is still there. aptX removes it completely

The problem is you can only do it in desktop mode, and it doesn't save for regular mode. Pretty poor ImmOOOO. I didn't know about any of this until I bought BT headphones, it kinda sucks.

Good to hear the BT-W5 solved at least your PC problems. Yeah, even the older version is good. No problems with using a gamepad via integrated bt and listening at the same time either.
I don't know what the latency is, but since it does not in any way impede gaming I also don't care.

i had the same problem w my headset. also "surround" sound wasn't working properly (random cut outs).
never found a solution and ended up using the proprietary 2.4ghz dongle instead of BT
