Ordered a new toy; Tobii EyeX (Eye tracker)

anyone tried it (Or similar)?

I saw a video from Quill18 where he showed it with Master of Orion (well, game was not showed at all, but I was impressed by the seeming accuracy of the gaze detection).

I should get mine in few days. Can't wait to kill enemies in Deus Ex with my eyes o_O

I saw a review of it and wasn't impressed. Looked too wonky and too pricey for what it offered. While the gaze accuracy was high (when in the optimal range/angle)... the setup was too constricting, bet it will give problems for most people that play in long sessions.

Got to try it now. For turning the viewpoint it's not good for sure (but in that case it's anyway more like 'panning' the view when you look to the side.

I think head tracker has simply easier time with that.

The UI element hiding is cool.
Ie. the elements fade out if you're not looking at them.

The aiming with the gaze is too inaccurate Sad I tried it briefly in division, and yea... you can get off body shots easily, but the goal in the games usually is to go for head. (You look at point and then press r-mouse to aim the weapon and it immediately aims it at the point you're looking at instead of where the gun is pointing)

Didn't try Master of Orion yet (there it only uses it with a map zoom and some simple stuff.)
