yeah the plane blew my fucking mind. i had the 7.1 surround cranked up because it was quite quiet at that bit in the movie, and man... with the sound roaring, it was just... wow... at the cinema it musta been fucking amazing.
Spoiler:
and to be honest i didnt mind the ending... i mean it makes sense when you think about it.. atleast its better than explaining it through fricken MAGIC... so having a more realistic reason was good i thought... - well realistic is if u can accept aliens as existing, i know to some people aliens pretty much equate magic, but whatever... point is, to me, it was at least a plausible reason for what happened in the movie, though it was a bit fucking stupid as to who they decided to pick to bring with them - ie all the kids with PROBLEMS... yeah thats a good way to restart shit.. bring the cripples...
I am now looking for more such "high-tech" (ie shot beautifully and look stunning in 1080p ) thrillers. Downloading Bourne films, Michael Clayton. Anything else?
knowing: well i liked it someone spoiled it for me so i expected the aliens and yes, i found it enjoying. The plane crash, subway derailing and the big explosion at the end looked really good.
6.5/10 could've been a seven if Cage didn't make me laugh so hard with some of his lines
i liked knowing, but after i watched it, i found myself thinking it through and the film SERIOUSLY does not stand up to close scrutiny... im pretty sure the entire film is comprised of nothing but red herrings and plot devices... so a great movie to watch and enjoy in the moment, but you'll just do yourself an injury trying to find any logical sense too it....
angels n demons 6/10
interesting enough for me, but nothing stand-out... competent but hardly a must-see.
I saw trailer of knowing and when I saw how Cage found the pattern in the midst of all that pile of numbers made me lol so hard Even the supercomputer wouldn't be able to find jack-shit in that
But I'll dl it and see if it's any good...

That's the whole point, but I suppose without watching it you're just making assumptions.

I've heard from few people that it's kinda... meh. But I love that kinda SF mumbo-jumbo So who knows.
I was just stating that the kind of analytical thinking he is showing is not that probable for human being. You don't need to bite AM

Knowing is nothing special at all. Most of the people here overrate it totally :/ I just watched the day the earth stood still and while the story was fucking lame, the movie itself was way better than knowing. Ah and the cgi on knowing sucks BIG time

Yeah, well you tend to have an overly analytical mind, that's why you're so good at maths and physics, it's a gift and a curse!

How anyone can give knowing more than 1/10 is fucking beyond me. It's the worst piece of shit I've ever seen. And it's not even close.
I know I kinda started this again by joking a bit at someone rating Twilight at 9/10
but seriously wtfwtwtf let people rate and lets move on You probably like some movie that the majority would say is utter shite. And if not that just makes you weird.

True that, that's why it was kinda funny to me (something like implementing quantum physics where it's obviously not needed, and has no kind of meaning)
