Has anyone gotten this error and how can I fix it? I get this error message as soon as I try and start the game.

I have tried everything from updating DirectX 9 to installing DirectX 10. I even updated my video graphic drivers (NVidia) to the latest version and still the same error.

I'm using WinXp Sp3 with a Geforce 8800 GTX card.

well..developers admited that they gave more attention to the consols and tha the pc ver is less important.
8800gts lags with the latest drivers here. so far my impression is that the c64 version from the mid 80's was mutch more fun ,so..i think i'll pass this round and will wait for the minions and the cowboys;)

You go to the processes tab, find the name of the process, right click on it, and set the priority. Smile

Elaborate on what you mean by "doesn't work"? Whats the error given, does it fail midway or does it not even start to install?

Bottom line is that the installation kind of works, it just doesn't copy over the contents of the \bin folder.

Just manually select the files in \bin and copy and paste into the installation folder. Then copy over crack to overwrite protected executable.

I'm glad I gave this game another shot.

Just beat it on "Experienced" (with the Reloaded release, Vitality crack has impossible difficulty triggers, shame on them for talking shit). I solved my mouse lag problem by setting the "Sync Refresh Rate" option to 60hz.

Anyway, the game was fun, especially at the latter stages once all of the weapon options open up. The particle physics/beams/traps/ghosts etc. were pretty impressive. Overall the engine isn't too shabby (although admittedly somewhat unoptimized). I just wish there was some sort of free-play option after you've beaten the game, you can't even go back in and read about all the artifacts you collected. Sad

7/10 - very good considering the fact its a movie license. Props to the cast for doing the voice overs as well - Murray's still got that sarcasm!

I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

how about you just put the full path to the exe there? Laughing

seriously
there should be the path of the exe
eg : "G:\Program Files (x86)\Ghostbusters\Ghostbusters.exe"

There's definitely something very very wrong with this game, if it's not fixed by the time I'm done with Prototype and a few other games I'll just get 360 version.

What the heck are you doing aeon ?

First of all, if you start revloader in low priority, it will then launch ghostbusters ... in normal, so it's useless for the revloader method. Better use the RLD crack. Also, executable files have freaking extensions, also !

Last time I checked, it was mainly ".exe"
