Its next gen on PC minus the multiplayer and additional content. 8(
I saw the pc instructionsa from a newly opened box at gamestop yesterday.. with people preordering what they thought was a game WITH multiplayer elements, needless to say, they were concerned as well.

From the Wiki for it. They miss off the PC release for Europe, which is also Late 2009.

We did the midnight launch party in gear last night. PC sales seemed just as robust as console versions, especially since the price was only $30, and you got a tshirt AND $10 in movie money as well wth your purchase.
If you take away the value of the shirt anf movie money, the pc game only cost like $10! I'm SURE I can get $10 worth of gameplay out of it, so we picked up the wii and PC versions. Our total cost out of pocket for attending the launch party in gear: $44, and we got two t shirts and $20 in movie money.
I'll install the cracked version whenever we see it, so I don't have to wory about online activation.

I guess since it's Atari and that it's been mentioned to use digital activation that it's the same system used in some of their other high-profile titles which would be Tages, probably similar to the version found in the rect X3 update so a crack could take several weeks.
(Not that it means anything to many of us Europeans though as it won't be released on PC/X360 until late Autumn this year, hehe, that and the X360 version is already downloadable.)

Actually i think he said he found a workaround in the 1.1 patch for Riddick. He most probably can crack this as well though but it could take some time.
