Yeah. I think people forget that little bit. Its a LEAST that far away.

I was under the impression that the game was actually pretty much finished and that EA delayed the game for marketing reasons. So I'd assume the game should be polished even now. Also it better be nearly bug free when it's released since they got about 6 months more time to work on it(unless it's gathering dust on a table while they hype it).

Maybe. Even if it looks just like what i have seen, I will still play the shit out of it if it is anything like Bioware's past games.

Pretty sweet new trailer tbh.

http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09-dragon-age/49796

Too bad with movies, just like Hellgate, it prolly won't even remotely feel like how this is animated.

Hacking and chunking up is getting more gory and detailed these days though, thumbs up!

I hate game hype. It's one of the least favourable aspects of the gaming community. Primarily because it is created to artificially induce interest in a game, I say artificially because it almost always is a misrepresentation of the game itself, and nearly always a negative misrepresentation for the consumers. So in effect what hype does, is making the consumers positively anticipate disappointment.

Such a frustration.

I also think fisk should be unbanned.

While I don't like teasers and countdowns for teasers Rolling Eyes , I like these gameplay vids. Bioware atleast shows what they're doing instead of releasing vague teasers now and then. Marketing is a must, I've seen alot of great games go down in the past due to bad sales. No one knew the game even existed.

Yeah, these trailers aren't hyping, it's actually gameplay. WYSIWYG

I hate those prerendered trailers and touched up screens for other games. Also, PR idiots saying all kinds of shit which turns out to be horribly untrue. Like Bioshock.

Anyone remember that idiot playing Empire Total War and describing it, as if it was some extreme super-war-simulation with awesome strategy ... and then the (buggy) game comes out and the AI can't even use ships to do a landing. /facepalm

That last trailer that was posted is WYSIWYG, yeah right Laughing

Bioware is no different from any other game developer trying to hype their games..

Still looking forward to this - just hope, as I've said many times already, that they fix those god-awful framerate issues.

Bioware is quite good at coding unlike most RPG devs, so I expect nothing more than a smooth running game. I though this was PC exclusive btw, I just found out it's multiplatform.

Normally so would I, especially from Bioware, but have you seen all the gameplay trailers? Ouch.

They've been showing gameplay vids for months now, so I assume it's all far from final. And I doubt a developer like Bioware would show gameplay vids with framerate issues if they didn't know they could fix it. It would be much better to not show it, make the gamers realize tey're fucked after purchase Very Happy
All speculation of course though.

October this year is set as the release date, but it seems Bioware has asked for a delay albeit it's only two days.

Yep, here you can read how you're supposed to play it with a joystick. Sounds painful =P

System requirements, somewhat RAM/CPU heavy from what I see.
(Disc space is also rather hefty but that's not really a problem, more game to play haha. )

Heh, well you might be right Vurt, if it's using a ton of pre-rendered cutscenes (BIK files or whatever.) plus having everything voiced in multiple languages (All of which is installed anyway despite language choosen for the installer.) Very Happy

Or maybe it will have uber-ultra-high textures Laughing ....but after seeing the screens I'd say: no

I doubt it'll have many FMV sequences. The trailers I saw and their previous game Mass Effect rely more on in-game cutscenes.

I like their recommended RAM specs :
RAM: 4 GB (Vista) or 2 GB (XP)

lol

god bless XP!

its not a lulz thing

Vista DX10 version with ps4.0
Winxp DX9c = graphically comparable to the console version... well except xbox360 will not have AA

just compare the Mass Effect on xbox360 to PC and YOU WILL SEE THE DIFFERENCE

Bioware never did much with full FMV sequences. Let's hope the 20GB is dedicated to highres textures and alot of content Smile. I still don't like the bombastic trailers though, I hope those are made in that manner just to draw attention.
