I've been having some problems burning games for my 360 recently. I'm using the same discs I've been using before without problems. I don't get an error while burning, and ABGX sees nothing wrong with the disc, but for some reason, it keeps getting Disc Unreadable on my 360. It will start up and show the splash screen, but then Unreadable. Is it a problem with my 360 or burner?

I had a burner die on me before, but then it would just fail while burning.

Oh, I did get the game to work once, but not since then. That was yesterday, and it's just been sitting in the drive.

If you want to know whether it's your burner or your 360 drive .... load, or try to load, up an older title that you burned on that drive. If the 360 reads it fine; burner. If it struggles; 360 drive.

Sorry to have been the bearer of bad news, mate Sad I lost my Pioneer DVR-110D a few months back .. it served me faithfully for almost two years. Now I'm rocking an Optiarc 7203S and, touch wood, hasn't given me a bad burn yet.

=Edit=

Also! Don't take my advice as gospel mate, you could just have been VERY unlucky and gotten a bad batch of media. It happens, I'm afraid.

That could be it.. I bought the last 5-pack of discs this one store had, and it even had two used discs in it. They were 360 games, heh.

The weird thing is though, that while starting the game, I can hear the 360 drive just stopping, not even trying to read the disc. A few seconds after, it gives me Disc Unreadable.

Jesus H Zombie Christ on a bike!! WTF? Mate, I'd take that shit back to the store and kick off BIG time. Demand recompense! Two used disks AND they contained pirate content too? Wow.. I'd have been pissed.

Same thing happens to me on bad media too. I REALLY hate that shit about the 360. The drive detects one bloody error on the disk .. and it just stops dead and throws you that "disk is dirty" message before dumping you back to dashboard. Fucking drives me nuts! I'm sat there almost shrieking at the screen "WELL TRY AND FUCKING READ IT AGAIN!! TURN OFF THE AUDIO! DO SOMETHING *OTHER* THAN DUMPING ME OUT OF A FUCKING GAME!"

Yeah, I went back and returned them, they gave me two new discs. Seems like they're bad too though, as they're the ones I tried burning on last. Kinda pisses me off, as I was hoping to play through Prototype this weekend.

Oh well, atleast I have the Huxley beta to play.
