Yes, I used the supplied serial rather than the 0's the 1st time I installed it, and there is no fade now, sorry it took so long to reply, I was too busy kicking butt, wow I can hit anything now with pistols and rifles. Before I couldn't hit anything, I thought I was just bad at aiming.

Double confirm here, if u input the serial supplied. u wont have FADE. now u can start the killing.

anyone of u notice that the AI for the enemy n team mate all have super human vision. most of the time i cant see where the hell r the enemy. is there a way to adjust the super human vision??

Having 00 00 00 00 (etc.) as serial seems to be what triggered 'fade', with a "valid" serial, the game plays A-OK.

I also think fisk should be unbanned.

Erk.... I wonder whether I will have triggered FADE as I entered zero's to install (as I hadn't recieved my serial through email at that time and didn't want to decompress yet again)... but I did enter the proper serial in the activation process so I wonder whether it matters?

What happens if you don't enter a serial number, does the game automatically use all zero's?

Yes.

Just to be clear, I haven't specified a VALID serial-key as in, it's purchased. It's a generated key that the game accepts.

That's strange, even if the file is updated I was under the impression that it would skip it as it was already patched and just move to the next file, seems this might not be the case so perhaps someone will need to upload the file from the 1.00 version?

I disagree, I find input and aim are very smooth myself. Last night I oc'd my vid card and can say, wow what a differance it made, especially the shader and memory clocks... BIg differance for me.

I patched my version to v1.01 fine after replacing the three language files. The installer gave me two errors while patching but i just chose to "ignore" and the files were replaced anyway. Just had to again copy the English language files to the install directory.

Using. Armed_Assault_2_GERMAN-GENESIS btw

Q6600 8800gtx XPx64 2 gig of 667ram. I do run it in 1650 because @ 1920 it's a little jerky for my rig it seems. Video memory to very high as well, also I fuck with setting the shadows from very high to high, depending. Post processing to low (don't like the blur so much), and fillrate is @ 125 Also grabbed the new 168.08 drivers, seemed to make things a bit smoother.

My video settings are now on very high. I thought as you with the laggy input, but as I said, overclocking my video card made the game come in line. The 8800GTX is a fucking great card, but it's starting to show its age now. So overclocking the fuck out of it til it drops is what I"ll do, with this game anyway. It's the only game I ever had an issue with from the get go, in more than 2 years.

Yes, I spent the whole day on that mission, lots of bugs and reloads. At the end where I was suppose to destroy the main insurgent base I did not have arty support because of a a bug and I lost star force 21 also. Had to drive a LAV 25 up there and that got smoked by a BMP. Im on the next mission now, but that Manhattan mission is the best so far. I love the game, so open ended. =)

If you cant shoot straight that indicates fade as far as I have read here, but having said that I had a similar issue with that mission, I just waited around at point liquid for a little while and the mission eventually ended. Having said that I was randomly pressing keys in frustration so maybe it was that which triggered something.

Also another question a bit of a silly one maybe, but does the -winxp switch actually do anything if you are running the game on XP? I'm guessing it's only for vista compatibility.

ok so its easier than we thought...

Install the game with the proper serial in the nfo....

Put the english language files on as a mod. have your shortcut launch the mod

Then dont appy ANY cracks... just get the mini image from GCW. Get the latest Deamon tools, and YASU. deamon tools the mini image, YASU the drives then boot the game up.

then no more FADE and english sounds..

This is not tested with the 1.01 patch but as far as I can see there is nothing really to fix as all the GFX, aiming, and blur errors people have are caused by FADE. Like mine were.

Also My Vista install is WAYYYYY slower than wondows 7.

I got a core2duo 6600@3,3 Gh, Geforce 9800 GX2 with 1024 of GDD3 ram, driver 175.19, 2 giga of ram.
I run it at 1600x1200 but with fillrate at 100 and almost all settings on low:
no shadows, video memory and texture on low, postprocessing low, object and terrain details on low.
With this settings i got 50 fps average.
I tried ur video settings but i got 30 average fps and for me it's unplayable...

How many fps do u do in average ?
