Some of these packs are so trivial, it's unbelieveable. Do people really pay for such things? Amazing.

The sad thing is mate, while us bunch of dirty Yarr's will just acquire our stuff off the net, the majority of Sims players will - and most likely already have - bought each and every item on that god-forsaken store.

I don't know why, bud, I installed all those packs with no hassles whatsoever -- and that was when I wasn't even patched either. I uninstalled Reloaded. Blanked my "Sims 3" folder. Deleted all but save games in the Documents one. Installed Razor and then that's it.

Install the game without using the patch, it should work then.

I guess the patch was for internal testing only, and wasn't meant to hit public.

Good thing to me. As long as EA makes money, they make more stuff. That means more free sim items for us Very Happy

Have installed those packs with patched game so doubt thats why.
Kinda disapointed though with Riverview, actually thought it would add something to the current sim but only way to access the damn town is to start a new game in it and there's no possible interaction between the two so basically it's the exact same thing as without that town. except the layout is different.

Ok seems like I was wrong then. I was also getting the installation error with riverview then I reinstalled the game without patch and it worked. Not sure what was causing the installation error if it wasn't the patch.

This game needs an adult pack, with a porn career and sex parties.

Most probably EA would make twice as much if they did that.

For the one wondering ... Yes, you can move you household to Riverview. If you do however you lose all your friends, some part of your inventory (deeds etc.) and maybe more.

You have put your town in edit mode "Edit Town" and then click your house and save it to the bin. Then start a new game in Riverview and voila, you can choose your own family again.

And im betting the next sims is gonna be hardcore activation lol, I cant see EA being too happy after they notice that pirates have every conceivable pack for free.

fcking sweet man, thx for all the good work! Added all the files in the Downloads folder & it works! U can install them individualy, executing every file or just go in your simslauncher, then in the Downloads folder, check all & install. I've tested it under the rld version.

Compilation rar file with all packs I've found so far, 40 different ones and they've also gone trough that utility, just place them in the "C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads" directory or run them one by one to install them, might be a good idea to firewall the launcher program just to be on the safe side.

Hopefully this will be helpful. For those of you that are having problems installing the downloadable items and getting the error that your game is not up to date, just re-download the file again.

I have a registered copy of the Sims 3 and would get the error that my game needs to be updated when trying to install the some of the free items on the ea store. From my experience, I got the error because the file I downloaded was corrupt. So I downloaded it again, and again, and again until the file installed properly. Again, if you are getting the BS error that your game is not up to date, re-download the file again until it installs properly.

What I don't understand is Razor1911's release is 1.0.631.00002 and Multi.3-CoolPoint is 1.0.631.0003, yet I have the legit retail copy and it says its 1.0.631.00001. And when I hit the update button its says my game is up to date.
