As for EA's statement, they really couldn't have said anything else. Telling the truth (saying RZR's release is final, and that "half of the game - an entire city" will be available only on release and through registering) would obviously not have worked, and saying nothing would've been like acknowledging the final build was leaked.

It's all damage control.

Didn't they make that announcement prior to RZR's release (so it referred to the earlier version RLD released)?

Shouldn't be needed, based on the leaked patch info Razors build x.631.002 is the final one compared to reloadeds x.615.107 just that they use different sources with 002 designating it as retail whereas 107 is digital download.
(Current patches all update 631 to 632 for 002, 107 and others, links to the files via EA's FTP are taken down now however.)

I had less bugs with reloaded version

I doubt it. The thing was badly cracked for a start. So your game could muck up at any time. Due to SuckUROM.

Thats enough reason to switch over to the non-suckurom version by Razor...

I had less bugs with reloaded, there's no reason for you to doubt that.
Why should i lie about it.

Most annoying bug i have with the rzr release is that i'm unable to move into another house.
I get the option to make the other house household and when i click ok i get a final popup asking if that's the household i want.
After clicking yes, nothing happens, it keeps processing (i waited 20 minutes once) and i tried it with several houses, all the same.

You must just be unlucky then as the RZR rls will have less bugs.

Have you patched the rzr rls?

@Yondaime

They're called "rabbit holes" - and most likely will open up with expansions (like Open For Business, etc)

(god I need to start paying attention, I saw Yondaime's post at the top and thought that was the newest post... Jesus)

Not sure what the best thing to fertilize with is but just keep planting the highest quality fruit you get from your plants and you will improve to perfect pretty quickly, for every generation of plant you will improve quality with 1 or 2 steps at a time.

I have reloaded's release and I haven't had any bugs whatsoever. Not one crash or anything *knock on wood* When my copy of Sims 3 Collector's Edition comes, perhaps then I might see the difference, if any.

Is it just me or does Sims 3 seem easier than its predecessors? I have not once had a burglar break into my home and yes I didn't have an alarm system. I have not once had a fire and my sim started off with the shittest stove and no experience cooking. My sim also has almost all the skills at level 10 and I've maybe had 48/hrs of real time gameplay. The only thing that is very difficult is writing a novel. Takes ages and ages.

I had a fire and a burglar in the first day of my first made sim, just unlucky I guess. My current sim has had 3 burglars, one before I got an alarm and two since (one night after the other). Think it's just completely random. I like how your neighbours come round complaining about the noise of your alarm going off Very Happy

Must be very random, i've yet to have any burglars at all and my sim would've been an elder by now on epic age setting if it werent for feeding him some Ambrosia

Theres something with game difficulty. This is probably still only reviewers copy. First sim (maybe all custom made?) is set to lowest difficulty. You see it when selecting household from starting new game. Some households are set to higher.

There are no difficulties per se; the difficulty meter you see with the premade families is connected to the amount of starting money and how many family members (I'd imagine especially young kids increase this, seeing as they're just a liability, unable to earn money or even take care of themselves) there are.

Haven't tried it myself, but you could easily test that by making a family with like one adult and max amount of toddlers (one adult alone being the easiest choice).

The difficulty is calculated by taking into account the family size (number of sims), family net worth, job, house size (bills) and probably some other stuff. It doesn't determine if burglars will come or not. Smile

Edit: Cheers, inz answered as well. Smile

Probably no way to get it from the site directly, but hopefully we'll see it (and the Store content) leaked in some other way - no doubt it'll take a bit more doing than just copying the downloaded files, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Had one burglar (with alarm, police kicked his ass before I could get out of bed Very Happy), and two fires. One from a stove that the husband with the Brave trait promptly extinquised, and another from electricution after tinkering the TV (yep, the sim was on fire but was saved in the last second).

For me it was nothing major, I can't remember any long term mood modifier. There was a -200 mood while on fire that was counting back (I assume at 0 the sim dies). Other than that, he was singed that came off after a quick shower. Smile

I'm sure the DLC will be leaked eventually. Content for Oblivion and Fallout 3 etc have been. Even items for the Sims 2 that you could only get on EA with a registered copy have been leaked. Unless the folks at Ea got very crafty and the DLC's are only limited to your registered copy and computer by some kind of drm. If not, a few people that have the legal game could easily work together and get all the DLC cheaper. Say one friend gets all the furniture, appliances and electronics, Another gets the clothing, hairstyles etc, and the other gets decor etc. Then they all just share them. But like I said, I wouldn't doubt EA has thought about people doing that and made it so you can't simply share DLC's.

yep it will be leaked eventually but someone have to get anyway a legal copy to insert a valid key into the sims 3 store to download it and then upload it for all
