nope, thats not the way I do things. I liked blue dragon (tried the demo) but didn't burn the full version purely because its 4 discs. Thats just not worth it imo, when there are games like Oblivion, Mass Effect and Fallout 3 that only takes one disc... |
lol, you are actually complaing about a few more disc's? i cant imagine 2,50€ being to much to play a game especially when you are paying 60,- for retail price, people like you i just dont get...

lol, im not like that at all. Its more of a... why would I download it when there are other good games I don't need to use that many DLs on. If it turns out to be boring after some time iv just wasted 3 DLs. Not that I care that much, but id rather waste them on games I don't need to spend 50+ hours on.

In that, good buddy, I *seriously* recommend just grabbing the first disk! Think of it like an extended demo - you'll have xxxx amount of hours to play and, if you like it, you can grab the other two disks. If not? Well, it's no different than any other single disk game ^_^

Didn't Blue Dragon get bad reviews? I thought it was crap. While I'm not a jRPG fan, I still like some. Is it worth the try?

What's "it" mate? Blue Dragon or Star Ocean? I've not tried SO yet, but I thought Blue Dragon was awesome fun.

I actually think this is pretty crappy. whiny teenagers,little kids,bad voice acting,tedious grinding,large boring areas etc.
Then again I didn't like Lost Odyssey,last remnant or any other jrpg(maybe I'm getting too old),because they are more or less similar(my opinion).
Dunno why I keep trying them though...lol
Back to Arcanum,Red faction etc. 
And no it doesn't have japanese language,he's saying yes because Drake008@ said "please say yes".

is it true this game has 9 ending ? saw the achievement score and there was some 9 endings or are those quests ?

so yeah played it and have some mixed feeling about it
graphics are awful they jump from 720p in buildings to 640p in battles and exploration
popups everywhere and textures are washed up like hell masked by bright light
story well its there but those porcelain faces with no emotions and this crappy voice acting make you breake the dvd
and dont say i am not into it i liked and finished to hell and back star ocean 1-3

played a bit more yesterday and atm I would say I like it.
I have to agree that the popups are annoying and the graphics somehow arn't really good.
But once I managed to blindside regularly and got familiar with the bonus board mechanic it got better. Combat makes or breaks a JRPG for me so as long as the combat system is fun/good I can play it further.
Another thing I really like is that when you skip a cutscene there is a summary of it in text form
Other interesting stuff:
you can also craft stuff but I didn't dive into that yet.
if you beat a monster often enough you can fuse them to a jewel and equip it

don't know but those achivments would point it has nine endings, also think the console resolution is shait, its like you play all the time play in 640x480 stretched to a 16:9 LCD it looks just plain fugly... looks like a emulated xbrix 1 game with widescreen support

what's with that constant shining on the character? It's really annoying. Also, the save system is so old... there's hardly any around in the forest where you first started. Imagine trying to explore and you can't save anywhere, then unexpectedly dies. I wouldn't want and hr or so of exploring go to waste cos you can't bloody save.

if you equip a new weapon you see that weapon during battle (I guess that's what you asked)

There are no JRPGs without annoying characters, it's part of their culture. Those sniveling brats from Lost Odyssey, Jesus if you could only shut them up, you can understand why Yantzee hates them

I find it strange that everyone appears to hate the graphics.
I get eyegasms when I play this game.
Faces are able to express themselves VERY well imho.
Have to mention that I play this on my bigass 60" 1080p pioneer though, might be a factor.
I obviously HATE the voice acting of Lymle.
ALL others are excellent however, very high quality even.
So I wouldn't let the voice acting put you off.
It is indeed very jRPGish to have extreme personalities ingame to make sure at least someone is annoyed hehe.
All I can say is that I didn't finish lost odyssey , nor blue dragon , nor the last remnant.
Personally, I feel this one beats m all.
