Its fine, im sure most will buy this that want to play online with others longterm anyhow right? The battlenet whatever it is and the latest server game hosted side detections were pretty good for finding bogus keys even though they let them join initially. Some check would show it up in seconds for a admin of that game..

just played through the first mission. i love the new movement system...so much smoother than arma 1. reloading while running even made it in woohoo

haven't really experienced the retarded AI yet, don't really want to anyway lol. where can one download the beta-patch? can't even find a link in the official forum Sad

graphics are fucking great. performance is also pretty good @ 2560 x 1600 resolution, high details, althought objects in the distance are pretty "blurred". loading times are good, faster than part 1 IIRC.

if they didn't mess up the multiplayer, which I haven't tested yet, then this game is gonna keep me busy for a while Very Happy

Nothing to beware, everyone will be aquainted with issues for arma. Its nothing to worry about its always patched up. Im not concerned anyhow. Ive read and seen other vids that dont whine or bitch but show good solid gameplay..

Bugs and glitches are understandable, but near the end, it seems the game doesn't have ragdoll physics ? The corpse just flattens and clips and hovers ?

Is this 2009 or not ?

How so? Why is it, with these games, that bugs are considered understandable, while other games are crucified for having much less bugs?

Stalker, ARMA etc, are way more complex than the average FPS, that's why.

Seems it fixes the AI a LOT (those bugs in the vid) ,performance a little and some crashes, supports 4-player campaign coop now, many gfx improvements and fixes.

The serials might be region restricted. For Arma1, could every regional-edition join every other edition and view the entire server list?

Here is one source of the english patch:

http://ifraggle.com/2009/05/29/arma-2-english-language-patch/

Here's another :

http://www.ragnarokarena.com/a2_english_language.7z

There are others, just have to search around. The german release does work, lots of folks from the official forums who live in the US and UK have gotten it and are playing. Read up on this thread:

http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=73107&page=25

Oh and to answer your question the original ArmA allowed everyone to play with eachother from what I recall. I remember being on foreign servers.
