Thanks for the tip man. In the end i put the bike right next to where i would jump down and used that to get out the way.

Except for the textures it looks like a game of ten years ago: IMHO it's horrible!

Like a game of 10 years ago! surely not that bad! May 1999 had games released like:
Aliens Versus Predator
System Shock 2
Heroes of Might and Magic III

real shockers
No wonder so many are saying this game is awful.
It kinda makes ya wonder about how anyone could be so silly as to enjoy a game that everyone else has told them they shouldn't. Lock em up and that will teach them to toe the line

So...you're new here? 90% of "user reviews" in here are about gfx. If you have some nice gfx candy why would you need a story or even (!!!) neat gameplay? That's insane!

I find that visually the game is completely OK albeit with the trademark UE3 "look" with it lighting system and particle effects (Fire, blood and such.) but it doesn't look that bad although the open environments are a bit sparse and the LOD system is pretty heavy so very distant objects are quite blurry and low-detailed and there's a noticeable transition going towards a distant building as the various LOD stages begin.

Gameplay is somewhat similar to Gears of War but there's more focus on movement and even platforming segments which sometimes feels a bit odd. (Your character doesn't really look that suited for jumping around and doing flips and dives and whatever else he does, especially not with all those weapons on him.)

Few random crashes but framerate itself is very high though UE3 is pretty optimized unless you really ramp up the visual quality in some titles.
(Depends on how much it's tweaked as well I guess, Mirrors Edge is using a pretty modified version for example.)

All in all it's a OK third person shooter with some platforming elements, not too difficult to figure out but also feels a bit out of place sometimes (Scaling buildings, diving across chasms and such)

(Has a story as well but I'm not far enough to comment on it, just on the early levels so far as I haven't played the game much.)

It reminds me Heavy Metal F.A.K.K. 2 (9 years ago) but that was much better!

I hope someone will be able to help me,thanks.

I managed to play the terminator salvation game with DTools lite 4.30.4 and latest YASU as shown in this forum but I really can’t play at Damnation.

I installed the game with dTools lite 4.30.4 ,then launched YASu and mounted the NS-damn.SR-posede.mds file but the game doesn’t start at all.

I also tried with the minimage from gamecopyworld but the result is the same: DTools says the image is mounted but nothing happens!

I put the mds file and the 123.ali in the same folder. nothing happens.

I tried to delete the ALI 123 file: same result.

Thank you for the attention

Is the PhysX and VC++ redists installed? game uses both of these and if nothing else you should find them on the disc somewhere albeit downloading the latest versions directly is recommended.
(Same goes for the DirectX redistributable.)

Normally this wouldn't be needed as it should have said something though or even tried to install them directly during the games install process.

Unsure what else to say, it's not part of the emulation system or protection as that never comes up, game just doesn't load for some reason and perhaps only sits idle.
(Visible process in the task manager.)

I have used the mini image from GCW and it works fine for me.. The only difference is I am using DT Pro and mounting to an IDE drive. Daemon tools extensions or YASU is not needed.

Just completed it btw and it isnt all that good. If the game wasnt so long and repetitive i would give it 5/10.. but because it takes so long to finish, maybe 4/10

Keeps looping Confused

Right click on the first file and then select open with winrar. It should just extract the image files.

------------------

Even if it was a slow system, there should be a bar where you can see the progress

quad core, progress bar is for single file, where unpacking whole 8,5GB mdf makes 1% of total progress bar than loops from beggining. it happened to me once, but dont remember why.

utorrent says completed but sometimes I can see down. rate 0,3kb/s or so... maybe its incomplete?

That little download is because the torrent clients exchange data, it's irrelevant.

Just let it extract, WinRar sometimes fails in showing the correct progress. Give it some time.

stop the torrent, then right click and force recheck.
although, if it would have been incomplete, winrar would've popped an error message..

Protection .......: SecuROM v7.39.0006 & SR SDK & triggers

Date .............: May 2762 Number of Discs .........: 1

GAME NOTES

Rest in pieces Moby Dick!

Evolving the shooter genre with its unique and
exhilarating combination of fluid action and combat,
Damnation will feature huge, open environments, frenetic
combat, daredevil acrobatics and high-octane vehicle-based
stunts. Presenting players with an intense test of
reflexes, quick thinking and rapid-fire conflict,
Damnation will feature vast, breathtaking landscapes, each
Billed as a "shooter gone vertical" and visually inspired
by iconic elements of American history, these massive
streaming landscapes will form the battlegrounds for a
post-industrial conflict between humanity and an
unstoppable arms dealer hell-bent on total world
domination. Players will be able to choose their own paths
and navigate the world by performing daredevil feats on
the edge of human ability. However, players aren't the
only ones with mind-blowing acrobatic skills; intelligent
enemies will give chase and engage players in frantic gun
fights and attacks that can come from any direction - in
Damnation's world there's no safe place to hide.
With up to three hours of actual gameplay stretching out
in front of them per level, players will need more than
just muscle power to get across each level safely.
Damnation will offer players a selection of awe-inspiring
vehicles, from motorbikes capable of launching across
seemingly infinite chasms, to huge, armour-piercing
marvels that will induce mayhem with every huge shell.
The high action will be supported with an epic and
in-depth story which, while focusing on the exploits of
the hero character Rourke, is truly an ensemble piece.
Players will meet and become involved in intricate story
plots that reveal much more than the obvious.

Should do, haven't found the stand-alone crack yet but it's the same game after all. Smile
(Just apply the EXE file or whatever else they've modified over it as usual.)

Found it, works as intended so far.
(Game starts, haven't tried to play trough a level yet but that shouldn't be a issue.)

I think there IS an issue. Don't know if it's the crack of a bug in the game, but for me it doesn't go past that rope at the beginning, where it says to press Space to grab it. It doesn't slide on it, just hangs there like an idiot. I've tried pressing any key, won't go.

That does work in the clone version, going to test this section with the crack as it's very early in the game. Smile
(Shouldn't take long.)

EDIT: Yep, you just hang there.

Crap, ok, thanks for testing. So, this bug is only with Vitality crack and Platin release? If so, I am going to get the Vitality version then. This looks like some good old fashion gaming. Who knows, I may be surprised and have fun with it. It's free so how can you complain. Smile
